Pastor Manwell S. Faison
"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." Jeremiah 1:5
Pastor Manwell Faison was not born to "become" a preacher he was born a preacher on April 9, 1974. At the age of 2 he got missing and was later found in an open feild waving his tiny arms mimicking the gestures of a preacher. All who witnessed this scene were amazed as a community matriarch declared, "That lil boy is going to be a preacher"!
On Febuary 3rd, 2008 he placed his Bible on a clear podium in a small storefront in Raleigh N.C & New Destiny Worship Center was born
The calling on Pastor Faison manifests in a three-fold anointing that changes lives to the glory of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Faison's greatest passion is for souls to be won for the Kingdom of God. As a teenager God led him to call through the ENTIRE phone book of his local town and witness to whoever answered the phone. Hundreds were converted! He passionately pleads through his preaching and tearful appeals for the lost to come to Christ. Calvary is his creed and the blood of the Lamb his doctrine.
Saints are matured by the revelatory teaching of Pastor Faison. It has been said of him that he makes the Word come alive until you feel apart of the text he preaches from. His prophetic insight is not the office of a prophet but rather the anointing to "make the Book talk"! Many are amazed that he has not been to Seminary as he teaches sound doctrine with the scholarly precision of a seasoned theologian.
As the founder of New Destiny Worship Center, Pastor Faison takes serious the consecration required to effectively transition his congregation to the next level of destiny. Leading by example in worshipping, giving and living the life that gives glory to God, his pastoral ministry seeks to remind the saints that their future is greater than their past. He beleives that the calling of the shepherd is to help the lost sheep find themselves and labors in the Word to remind God's people that their condition is not their conclusion.
