Spiritual Status
From the time of his mother’s womb, God had already had a plan for Damien’s life. To help him get on the right track to this plan, God placed R. Damien J. Davis in the Love & Worship Center Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Daniel White and Apostle Shirley C. White. Damien is now under the pastoral leadership and training of Evangelist Leonard D. & Elder Sheila W. Martin who are currently the pastors of the Love & Worship Center Church.
As a member of the Love & Worship Center Church, Damien became a part of the LC’s Chosen Generation Youth Ministry under the leadership of Youth Pastors, Elder Bobby and Prophetess Temolynn Wintons along with others who serve on the LCCGYM Staff.
In 2002, God said it was time for Damien to come out of his comfort zone and start preaching the word of God. During this year (2002) Damien preached his first sermon entitled “Those Sticks”, which prevailed from a situation that happen with him and two of his elementary classmates.
Damien has been preaching this unadulterated and uncompromising Gospel of Jesus Christ for over 8 years. As a result of the calling on his life, he was recommended to the Board of Bishops for ordination and was later ordained as a Junior Minister with one year training with Pastoral emphasis in January 2009 under Apostle Shirley C. White, General Overseer of the Love Center Ministries Worldwide and his local pastors.
Damien has traveled and is continuing to travel across this country preaching the word of God to youth of all ages. God has blessed him to be a mentor to young people who are inspired and want to do the will of God. God is using him to minister not only in the black churches but also to churches of all ethnic backgrounds. God has not limited his ministry to any particular denomination but He is using him to minister and preach the gospel to people of all denominations.
Academic Status, Awards, and Achievements
Damien’s childhood life, he attended the Love Center Christian Academy from his daycare year up to 6th grade. After graduating from LCCA, Damien enrolled into the Apalachicola Middle School for two years (7th and 8th grade year). His 9th grade year he attended the Apalachicola High School for just one year and later after all the schools in Franklin County consolidated, he became a student at the Franklin County Consolidated Schools which consists of all the schools in Franklin County from Kindergarten to 12th Grade.
In 2005, Damien was chosen to be recognized in “Who’s Who Among Outstanding Middle School Students” which was done with great humility and honor.
In 2006, He was chosen as the Franklin County Representative for the Students Working Against Tobacco better known as SWAT association on which he also served on the Board of Directors (youth edition). Later he joined Students Against Drunk Driving better known as SADD.
In 2007, He participated in the Coastal Youth Marching Band under the direction of Mrs. Temolynn Wintons. This was done for one year.
In 2009, God blessed Damien to not only become the first Drum Major of the Franklin County Marching Band, but the first Black Drum Major in the history of the Franklin County Marching Band.
Also in 2009, he was inducted into the National Honors Society along with Beta Club with a GPA of 3.2+.
For the 2009/2010 school year, Damien was elected by classmates to serve as the Senior Class President along with serving as the Vice-President of the Student Government Association.
For the 2008/2009 school year, he was chosen by teachers to do the invocation for the Franklin County School Graduation in which thousands of people witnessed this great occasion. Also he was chosen to lead the invocation at the “Wall that Heals” which was witness by hundreds of people.
Damien was also chosen to attend the Florida Institute for Certified Public Accountant in Tampa, FL at the University of South Florida.
