- Pastor Greg L. Oliver, Sr was born on January 14, 1973. He is the youngest of eight children born to Dr. L. B. Oliver and the late Margaret Long Oliver. As a native of Sicily Island, La; he was educated in the Concordia Parish School System. Upon graduation he attended Alcorn State University where Broadcast Communication and Music were his choice of studies. Further studies in History and World Religion were pursued at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Pastor Oliver accepted his calling to preach in 1994. He began his first pastorate experience at the St. Stephens Baptist Church in Vidalia, La. Not only does he deliver the word of God through preaching and teaching, but he is a gospel recording artist who ministers through his gift of singing.
With an ability to communicate the infallible truths of God’s Word, Pastor Oliver has been an instructor of courses on the Old and New Testament at the United Theological Seminary in Monroe, La. He has served as guest lecturer at state conventions, associations, and seminars. It is through his lectures and sermons many have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives.
In 1996 Pastor Oliver accepted the pastorate at True Vine Baptist Church in Monroe, La. Where he has incorporated the motto: Learning God, Loving God, and Living God as the foundation to the ministry he sets forth. In keeping with True Vine’s long history of providing Godly congregational and community ministries, Pastor Oliver has led the congregation in establishing several new ministries. The impact of Pastor Oliver’s teaching and preaching can be heard on local radio station Rejoice 1680AM M-F 10:00 am, and on Sundays 8:00 am. He also appears on television via Lamb Broadcasting on Thursdays at 7am; Sundays at 6:00 am on KNOE and 9:30 am on CW.
With a desire to rebuild the community where True Vine stands, Pastor Oliver launched the development of Branches of Life Ministries. BOLM is a Christ centered organization dedicated to reinforcing the positive aspects of community building. BOLM offers individual and family counseling services, GED preparation, legal services, computer classes and job readiness skills. Pastor Oliver serves as President of BOLM with a determination that the community of Bryant Addition will overcome the drugs and poverty that consume its streets. In addition, Pastor Oliver is founder of GLO Ministries INC.
Pastor Oliver and his wife Alisha Spencer Oliver are the proud parents of one son, Gregory L. Oliver II.

I was in Kansas City when you preached in the late night service and you certainly blessed my soul with the message. I was finally able to get a copy from the National and I am still feasting upon the Word of God of which you preached. Thank you so much! When God blesses me with a church, I am going to make it my business to try a get you for at least a three night revival, God willing. Please, pray for us and we will pray for you.
