Fancy sanctuaries, lofty steeples, clanging bells, air conditioned

halls, multi media projeectors and clean sound systems. The churches

are doing well... some even will soon implement debit machines so that

if you left the cheque book or the cash at home you won't have to worry

about not getting to pay your tithe, or make your offerings. Are we

really effective? How is that measured and determined then? Are we

scratching where no one is itching? Are we barking up… Continue

Interesting that we live in the same country, do inner city ministries yet meet on the net.  Your observations are interesting.  Both those on the state of the churches which are "doing well" and on the proportion of men to women in the church.  One thing I can say about this is that the Holy Ghost has the power to win men.  Neither Jesus or the early church had this problem.

God works In the Intercity

Most off my 44 years in the ministry was spent in the intercity. Intercity ministries may put you in the midst of danger and great need.
But it is a blessing to be a part of God's work in the area where your church is located. There is a song that says where sin abounds grace does much more abound. I will keep you in my prayers. Because I feel that God has his hand on your life. And he will use you to bring many into his kingdom. But always remember that the work is the Lord's and it is for his glory. And always remember that, God will be with you midst of danger.

Rev. Hopkins
