Pastor Sylvia Spears, born in stuarts draft, virginia to Phyllis Harris and the late Phillip Harris; she was saved at the age of seven under the divine leadership of her grandfather, Pastor Winston W. Harris. Pastor Sylvia Spears is blessed with three children, Samuel Jr., Steven and Shamica. Although military life took her from the Shenandoah Valley, it never took her from her walk with God. Pastor Spears remained an obediant servant of God as she traveled the world; from Illinois to North Carolina to Panama where she bagan her missionary work, to Tuscon, Arizona where God called her to minister. In 1988, while living in Tuscon Arizona, she started a daycare business for military officers' children and was licensed as a pastor; as a result the birth of Powerhouse Holiness Church was created.
