Life in the Jungle

“If you stay still in the jungle, the jungle or something in it will eat you” Brazilian Expression.

Yea I know, I’ve gone weird again. But some how this is just one expression I believe should be in the bible. I have worked in an office environment before. And well .. We all know how life is a jungle.

It’s a dog eat dog, cat fight, survival of the fittest environment . And for what? A few shekels at the end of a two week or month. What the government does not grab, bill collectors… Continue

Come out of the Cave

Elijah Longs for Death

Here is one more example of depression in the Bible. Elijah, after just having seen God's marvelous power, runs for his life and hides. His fear, anxiety and fatigue result in suicidal thoughts.

1Kings 19:4 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

A Day Especially Set Aside

Everyday that God allows us to see another day is a blessing, but Thanksgiving is a day especially set aside to give thanks for our blessings. You, my customers have truly been a blessing to me. Not for the purchases you have made, but through our conversations about your families, your love of clothes and love for Christ. I have met so many wonderful people and you all have made serving you a pleasure. Thank you for allowing me into your lives if only for a moment.

Thanks Again and have… Continue

If We Continue Our Pagan Traditions Are We Really Saved

We have a choice. We can choose the feast days instituted by God or the holidays substituted by men. The choices we make affect our destiny and impact our relationship with our Creator.

Over the last two millennia, traditional Christianity has systematically laid aside the "feast days of the Lord" and established its own holidays. Christmas was established to enable pagan converts to come into church fellowship without forsaking their heathen customs and practices. Easter is a replacement… Continue

Equipping Leaders

“Student ~OR~ Disciple”

Which one are you?

Go ye, therefore, and TEACH all nations…Matthew 28:19

The above scripture provides a Kingdom Principle and an Apostolic Mandate to make DISCIPLES and raise up Sons and Daughters. The word “TEACH”, is the Greek word, “MATHETES”, meaning a learner or a pupil.

In the book of Luke, chapter 14, Jesus declared unto the multitudes of people that followed Him, the guidelines for becoming a “DISCIPLE”. Although, Jesus… Continue

Discipleship

“Make Full Proof of Your Ministry”

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an Evangelist, “MAKE FULL PROOF OF THY MINISTRY”.

2 Timothy 4:5

Webster defines the word, “PROOF”, as something which tests; trial; what serves to convince; evidence; firmness; a certain standard of strength in spirit.

When Jesus began to introduce the guidelines for discipleship, the first thing He did, was offer them a test to prove their… Continue

The SHIFT is ON...

Brothers and Sisters in the Lord I have long wanted to mention something to the body of Christ, so today I take the opportunity to do so. I believe that alive within the atmosphere of the Kingdom is a SHIFT. By shift I mean "A CHANGE IN DIRECTION", but I also mean an "ACTIVATION" as in a standard shift vehicle. One of my best friends mentioned to me recently that he has watched the Lord "shift" several of our closest friends and the two of us as a matter of fact to new locations and ministry… Continue

"SHAKE LOOSE"

"SHAKE LOOSE"

It is time to shake loose of the bondages, the hindrances of this world. Come to Me drink of Me, I am more than enough. Come to Me. Cast off the heavy weights of this world, cast off the bondages. Come and fly with Me, come to the quiet place with Me. I am the Lord who loves His children. And I desire them to be free, to soar like the eagle with no restraints no hindrances; just flowing in My Love and walking in the promises of My word. My word is a Sword that cuts… Continue

Just A MOVE of GOD!!!!!

It was simply awesome this Sunday the move of God was just amazing. I was running late for the Sunday worship service and I did not know what to expect when I walked through the door. But being prayerful I knew God was going to move, Or Morning Manna starts at 10:30 and our Rhema Service starts at 12:00, so I get there about 12:30 and as I walk in, the presence of God is all through the place. Well that is not unusual; but it is unusual at 12;30. People were at the altar already getting… Continue

Sit Down!

After Jesus and the Disciples had taken an inventory of what they had, Jesus said, “Make the people sit down!” Right there, in the tenth verse (John 6:10), we see the 5,000 hungry men. If the offering wasn’t organized, if the bread had just been thrown out to them, then the strong men would’ve elbowed out the weak men, women, and children and would have eaten up all the fish and the bread.

In sitting down, you have a chance to logically arrange your priorities. I think that’s what… Continue

There is a danger in Picking your Battles

There is a danger in picking battles. Now before you dig a hole for me, hear me out. We are all guilty of picking battles similar to the process in which our own government chooses battles. We pick the opponent which seems weak, vunerable, easy, and a sure-fast-quick victory, but as soon as you begin the fight out jumps an opponent who you clearly mis-judged and you are running to God to win the fight you started. We spend time begging for God to fix it and rightfully so we should hear the… Continue

Ministry Should Drive You, Not Drag You!

As I was in casual conversation with a friend this morning, discussing ministry, God clearly spoke and said, “Ministry is supposed to drive you, not drag you!”

God is speaking to our motives, once again, for ministry. So many are involved in things we call “ministry,” but really don’t have a heart or desire to please God or win souls. How can we operate in ministry, when we have no general consideration for people?

Just look around. Watch how the saints treat the saints.… Continue

Grief and the Holidays - When the Holidays Hurt

Grief and the Holidays When the Holidays Hurt

10 ways to cope with loss during a season of celebration.

By Victor M. Parachin

I had no idea that grieving involved so many "firsts." There was my first night alone; the first meal alone; the first time I attended church alone; my first anniversary alone. And just when I didn't think things could get worse, I find myself facing the holidays alone—without my beloved husband, Gerry. This year, I would give anything if…
