The NY Times published this article a few months ago. It sounds a warning that " 25 percent to 39 percent of American hogs carry MRSA". Pork can contaminate one's hands with this pathogen, which is incurable and deadly to many people.

Churches Taking Swine Flu Spread Seriously



Churches and Christian aid organizations around the country are taking precautions and erring on the side of caution due to the rapid spread of the swine flu virus.



The threat from the current swine flu outbreak has led many churches to order sealed communion juice and wafer cups similar to the ones above.

Swine Flu Sends More Blacks, Hispanics To Hospital

(AP) -- Swine flu was four times more likely to send blacks and Hispanics to the hospital than whites, according to a study in Chicago that offers one of the first looks at how the virus has affected different racial groups.



The report echoes some unpublished information from Boston that found three out of four Bostonians hospitalized from swine flu were black or Hispanic.
