My ‘Final’ Word On US ELECTIONS 2008

Calvary greetings to you all Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus.

In a few weeks time, Americans will be going to the polls to elect a new President who will succeed the incumbent President George W. Bush.

About six (6) months ago (February, to be precise), I wrote a very lengthy article entitled: “’Inviting’ God Back To America: Opportunity – Elections 2008”.

In that article, I did emphasized the need for all Americans and friends of America across the globe to commit the upcoming US Elections 2008 into the Hands of the Father of the Heavenly light, because, even our Lord Jesus Christ prayed all-night before ‘electing’ His 12 Disciples (see Luke 6:12 -13 KJV).

I recently had that article re-emailed to the about two (2) thousand people on my mailing list, and the responses, comments and reactions I have been receiving from both Americans and non-Americans is quite phenomenal and diverse.
Each side have been trying to state (in a rather rhapsodic manner), the reason(s) why they believe their preferred candidate/party should carry the day and the danger(s) America faces if this or that candidate wins/loses the elections.

All this goes to show that Americans are very concern about the outcome of this year’s presidential elections, and so am I here in Africa .

But on Friday, 3rd October, 2008 while on my way home from a church service, I began to ponder over the upcoming US Elections. While still pondering over the Elections, I heard the Spirit spoke to my heart in a clear and unmistakable tone concerning the upcoming US Elections…

The Spirit spoke thus: “MY COUNSEL SHALL STAND, SAYS THE LORD”.

I see those words from the Spirit as a Word of re-assurance from God that He is in control and we need not be afraid of the outcome of the elections…

Therefore, let’s begin to sing the songs of the Ancient of Days even as we herald the dawning of a New Era in America ’s history.

In conclusion, permit me to give/state my ‘final’ word as it regards US Elections 2008 based on a strong witness I have been receiving in my spirit in the past few days.
Here goes my ‘final’ word:
God’s perfect will will be done. I sense STRONGLY that the next President of America may not appear to be a Christian, but he will have an encounter with God and it will change him. He may not be on the White House steps speaking in tongues, but he will be a changed man – worked on by the God that controls the hearts of kings and turneth it wherever HE pleases (Proverbs 21:1).

As I often tell friends here: Sinners might not be WALKING with God, but they can WORK for God – They can be used of God to achieve His eternal purposes.
God can work on them, in them and through them to bring to pass His Divine Agenda.

We saw a clear example of this in the Scriptures when God ‘worked’ through the heathen (unbelieving) king Cyrus to restore His Temple and the worship of Jehovah in Jerusalem . That has come to be known in some quarters as the “Cyrus anointing”. (Isaiah 44:28, Isaiah 45:1-6, 13).

What He (God) did before, He is more than able to do again and again and again because; He holds in His Hands the hearts of kings and He turns them where so ever He pleases, as we were told in that ancient but inspired words of king Solomon in Proverbs 21:1.

All the more, He has given us the timeless re-assurance in Malachi 3:6(KJV) when HE declared: “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed”.

So, fear not O Land ( America ), for the LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty!! ---HIS COUNSEL WILL SURELY STAND!
