Where there is no unity, there is no power. The largest spirit in operation in the church is the spirit of division. Jesus said " a house divided against itself can not stand". The irony of this whole thing is that we know this, but we persist to keep operating in this mode. Scripture mentions " if we know to do it and don't, we are in sin". 1 Cor:1:10-13, is a good example of the church today. One is saying I am pentecostal, the other methodist, the other baptist, and how many more denominations can we name, look at your phone book. Jesus prayed that we be one as He and the Father are one. Then he goes on to say that because we are one that the world will know Father sent Jesus in the world to save. This will really help our evangelism if we are evangelizing. Read John 17, the last prayer Jesus prayed. Father always answers his Son prayers, this is going to happen. The question is, should we continue as is or move in direction it is suppose to be ?
Case in point, the town that I am in. Not a big town by no means, but we have 22 churches. Some sit right next to each other or a few blocks down the street. The sad part is that they don't even fellowship with each other because of their denominational differences. This should not be saints. While witnessing I hear the world commenting about the church, one recent comment was " they can't get together on nothing". The power came when they were in one accord and will come again when we are in one accord. Unity is the key to the latter day rain, power , signs and wonders in the streets. This is the heart of God for end time ministers. Let him who have ears , hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. Gen 11:6, Psalms 133.
