Look at your neighbor and say, “ Don’t hesitate, just walk”. Look at someone else and say “Don’t hesitate just walk”. This is the instruction that we are receiving over and over again in our lives. God is telling us this over and over again. When His Word comes forth, God wants us to get up and walk in it. When He tells you to stop drinking, don’t hesitate, just walk. When He tells us to stop fornicating, don’t hesitate, just walk. When He tells us any manner of things that we need to get rid of, don’t hesitate, just walk. God wants the Word to have “Life” in us. In order for this to be accomplished, we need to act on the Word of God. We can’t just say that was a good message and go home and do the same things we did before. When you get the Word into your spirit, hesitation is out the door. When you hesitate you give the enemy a chance to deceive, trick, manipulate, or confuse you. The Word of God is based on action. When God has called you into something or out of something it takes action on your part. Just knowing is not good enough! You need to hear the Word, receive the Word, and act in the Word in order for that thing to be taken out of your life for good. How many of us say that we are going to stop drinking, stop lying, stop smoking, and when push comes to shove you get right back into the same thing. That’s because when we hear the Word it is only affecting us emotionally. Emotions are funny things because emotions change with the wind. Sometimes we are happy, sometimes we are sad, and sometimes we are angry. So when we hear the Word of God it affects our emotions and immediately we think we are healed. Not so! The Word has not reached our spirits; it has only reached our outer emotions. As long as your emotions are high on that Word you act in the Word, but as soon as your emotions are back to normal its business as usual. The difference is when the Word of God gets into our spirits the change is permanent. Not for an hour, not for a day, but for this time forward. The Word will only get into our spirits if our minds and hearts come to an agreement to act on that Word. For example, God may tell you its time to get rid of the anger you feel. You may agree and say God you are right and think you have given your anger over to God. But right after service someone walks up to you and makes a comment, or your children are arguing with each other. The first thing you feel is anger! You want to tear their heads off. Why? Didn’t you just get delivered from anger? Why are you so upset, if your uncontrollable anger is gone? Here’s what happened. You just received what God said in your soul (emotions). That Word did not penetrate your very being and affect your spirit. When that Word from God was given to you to control your anger, you should have made that Word action in your life. The only way the Word will have “Life” in your life is if you tie that Word TO action. So I say to you again, don’t hesitate when you hear the Word, Walk in the life and the action of that Word. May God continue to bless you and your family. May you live upright before God and be a living sacrifice unto Him.

(Luke 17: 29; Genesis 19)

When God was going to destroy Sodom because of their wickedness and because of their worldly living, God gave Lot and his family a chance to escape from the doomed city. When Lot and his family were running from the city, his wife looked back and she became a pillar of salt. Let’s take a minute and analyze this situation. Lot’s wife was turned into a pillar of salt because she was given an opportunity to leave her sins behind in that city, but she still wanted to be a part of those sins. God offered her deliverance, but she rather look back at the sin life. Deep within her heart she desired those things of the city. God is offering all of us deliverance from all of our sins, but we still want to hold on to those things in the deepest parts of ourselves. You have to be ready to “GIVE UP” those things. Action, action is necessary for deliverance to take place. The Word has to be received and acted upon. If Lot’s wife had accepted what God said about Sodom and left with no regrets she would have survived this situation. God can and will work in our lives when His Word is accepted and hesitation is broken.
