And send for cunning women, that they may come

And send for CUNNING women, that they may come:

When you hear the word cunning, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? For me, it was someone who is crafty, or slick; someone who is not to be trusted. So as I pondered this, I begin to wonder why God would summon someone of this caliber and this caused me to do a study on it. I would like to share with you the results of that study.

Let’s start by looking at the meaning of the word cunning. I like to use the Noah Webster 1828 dictionary since the meanings there are more accurate in reference to biblical studies.
CUNNING, a. [G. See Can.]
1. Knowing; skillful; experienced; well-instructed. It is applied to all kinds of knowledge, but generally and appropriately, to the skill and dexterity of artificers, or the knowledge acquired by experience.
Esau was a cunning hunter. Genesis 23.
I will take away the cunning artificer. Isaiah 3.
A cunning workman. Exodus 38.
2. Wrought with skill; curious; ingenious.
With cherubs of cunning work shalt thou make them. Exodus 26.
[The foregoing senses occur frequently in our version of the scriptures, but are nearly or quite obsolete.]
3. Artful; shrewd; sly; crafty; astute; designing; as a cunning fellow.
They are resolved to be cunning; let others run the hazard of being sincere.
In this sense, the purpose or final end of the person may not be illaudalbe; but cunning implies the use of artifice to accomplish the purpose, rather than open, candid, or direct means. Hence,
4. Deceitful; trickish; employing stratagems for a bad purpose.
5. Assumed with subtilty; artful.
Accounting his integrity to be but a cunning face of falsehood.

Next, let’s look at what Hebrew word is used in Jeremiah 9:17 which is the scripture reference we are examining.
cunning: 2450
~kx Chakam (khaw-kawm'); Adjective, Strong #: 2450

1. wise, wise (man)
a. skilful (in technical work)
b. wise (in administration)
c. shrewd, crafty, cunning, wily, subtle
d. learned, shrewd (class of men)
e. prudent
f. wise (ethically and religiously)

Notice that while being a shrewd and crafty person is part of the definition used, it is not the first meaning of the word.

God has imparted wisdom in us to cause us to be skillful in the things of Him. Let’s face it ladies, we know how to get what we want. In the world, we knew just how to push our men’s buttons whether we wanted them to do something for us or we wanted to enrage them.

Don’t sell yourself short just because you are now saved. God imparted that ability in you for a reason. Now you will use it to glorify the Lord. We have been intricately designed to grasp the knowledge of spiritual warfare in a different manner than the men. This is not to say that men don’t wage proper warfare, this is to say that God uses us in a different manner.

Most men fight using brute force and when that does not work, they feel a sense of defeat. For us, the women of God, we have learned how to use the weapon of words and we do not except defeat.

Here is where we must be careful. We have the power to build up and to tear down with our words. Not only that, but we have learned the art of posturing as well; the art of “not what you say but how you say it”. This makes us very strategic in our warfare; Posturing or knowing your position is vitally important in spiritual warfare. When you speak from a position of authority your tone and command of your words are different from that of someone speaking from a position of fear or defeat; Or from as place of uncertainty.

Had Eve known her proper position as a daughter of God almighty, the serpent would not have been able to beguile her. Her response would have been “my Father will not withhold any good thing from me so since He has said do not eat of this fruit, tells me it is not good for me.”

I pray you are getting the picture here. Just as Jesus knew how to use the word to defeat the enemy, we must do the same. Jesus knew how to use every form of warfare, in the wilderness He spoke the word; with the money changers in the temple, He used brute force; with Pilot, He submitted Himself for the ultimate victory.

Part of being skillful in battle is knowing when to pursue and when to submit. There is no defeat in submittal when it is part of God’s overall plan for total victory.

My sisters, God is once again calling for the cunning women, those who are “Knowing; skillful; experienced; well-instructed” in the art of spiritual warfare. God has declared this the hour of the prophetic. He has given us the ability to prophetically change the atmosphere in the land.

What we must do is saturate ourselves with the word of God to enable us to speak with accuracy when called upon to do so. Dwell in His presence like never before. Don’t just go before Him in prayer, but actually dwell there, sit quietly listening intently for guidance and direction. Remember, the cunning women are well-instructed.

We have been restored back to our place of dominion in God. We must not allow ourselves to be taken in again by the lies of the enemy. You are mighty in battle! You are the head and not the tail! You are the victor and not the victim! You have been anointed and appointed to reign and rule! You have been ordained to pursue and subdue and recover all!

Sometimes we have to speak to our own spirit man and call it to attention. Tell it to arise and walk worthy of the vocation to which it has been called. Encourage yourself when things seem all amiss. Let the enemy know you have peeped his future and he loses. You are all that God has declared you to be. Do not be troubled because you are not accepted, you are a peculiar person; God has called you to be so.

Just don’t get it twisted thinking you are weak because you were created female. Quite the contrary, God has purposely imparted you with an inner strength to never take down, never give up, and never concede defeat.

God has declared you a god and given you the ability to create with your words just as He does.
Ps 82:6 I have said, ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
Mt 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Mt 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

You were created in His image and likeness to be a speaking spirit just like Him. Submit to your Creator and allow Him to continue to create through you.

Arise oh cunning woman. Take hold of the wisdom of God imparted to you and go forth in your divine purpose and destiny. You have been impregnated with the Glory of God and the whole of creation is waiting for you to birth forth.

I understand that some are having a hard time grasping the fact that the Father called us gods. Let me expound a bit.

We must keep it in the proper perspective. We are gods, little "g" only signifying that God has imparted power within us to carry out His directive for us. We must not think ourselves more higher than we ought, but at the same time, we need to know who we are so that when we engage in warfare, it is from a position of authority and power knowing we have the victory.

If your heart is right and you are fully submitted to the Father there is no problem, you know He is still King of kings and Lord of lords the Supreme being and we are His creation and not equal to Him.

It is important not to walk in false humility thinking you could never think of yourself in that context, as a god. Differentiate between small "g" and big "G". An be all that God has created you to be.
