" A Matter Of The Heart"
Good News Saints!!!! you may ask well..... what is the good news? the news is that " This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it. We quote this scripture many times not really understanding that the day that we live in is Gods day and he made it so no matter what crisis is taking place in our economy, jobs, family, ministry know that God has made the day and he is more than capable of bringing you through it because even the events we see taking place were made by him. He shows us in Genesis the 1st chapter that he makes a day and completes and finishes it that it end in " it was good" our completion saints will be good according to Gods standards and not mans. The topic that the Lord is leading me on is matters of the heart which i'm being led to continue in a series. Why is it that matters of the heart are so significant in the lives of Gods children today more than ever?
Lets go to the word of God and let him show us why he has chosen to speak this word for this season....
2 Timothy 3:1 " This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.For men shall be lovers of their own selves,covetous,boasters,proud,blasphemers,disobedient to parents,unthankful, unholy. Without natural affection,trucebreakers,false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. Traitors, heady, highminded,lovers of pleasures, more than lovers of God: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
The heart is what speaks as Jesus said in Matthew 12:35 " A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and anevil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things" This is what we are seeing more and more everyday in our schools where children are being even more disobedient to their parents, boasters thinking that it's about their posessions and notoriety, lovers of themselves as we see us more concerned about a business and prosperity than the saving of souls, unthankful as we see us not even satisfied with what we have and enjoying the basics of the great quality of life in the Lord but desiring more of the lives of the wicked and unrighteous, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God as we see us worried about our church entertainment than the widow, fatherless, or even the homeless.. yes saints, its a matter of the heart. If we let the Lord be first in our hearts and begin to once again seek the face and heart of God we will see a dramatic turn around in the church, which the church being us and not the next big building. Where did we see the diciples running around from place to place to make a name for themselves? No, we always saw them moving in the spirit of the Lord on behalf of the lost, the sick, those in need of a physician Matthew 9:12 " They that be whole need not a physcian but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice:for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance" I think that if we learn what that means as Jesus said then we will understand what we are here for again. This is not a message to condemn but a message to draw the heart back to the right position so that we are not walking in 2nd Timothy 3:1 but walking in the Great Commission, Remember? Matthew 10:7-10 healing the sick, cleans the lepers,raising the dead,cast out devils. Jesus already gave us the instructions and has said that the works that he does we will be able to do and greater. So what is the hold up? it is the heart and the intent of ministry according to the word of the Lord. Lets prove it by going to 2 Corinthians 6:3 " Giving no offense in anything, that the ministry be not blamed: But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience,in afflictions,in necessities,in distresses. In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings,in fastings.By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering,by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, By honor and dishonour, by evil report and good report, as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live, as chastened, and not killed; as sorroful, yet alway rejoicing, as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing , and yet posessing all things"
After Gods word speaks all of that... where did we get the idea of such a celebrity mentality about ministry and work for God? I know that it was the enemy that crept this in through the back door of the Body of Christ very subtily as he did with Eve in the garden, but know today that through this word he is exposed and I pray that by the anointing and power of God that is on my life and using me as we speak that our hearts will be cleansed " Creating within us a clean heart and renewing a right spirit within us" as well spoken by the man of God after Gods own heart David. Lets produce a harvest of souls and not a harvest of just seeking the material things. God told us to " Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto us"know that as we are doing the work of the Lord he will make the increase. Remember that it is not in our own ability but by the spirit of the Lord that the impossible is manifested, why? because God said already that with man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
I encourage you today in the midst of where you are right now to rededicate your heart to God an with a repentive spirit come back to the Father. This is why we are where we are because God has chosen this day to bring his children back to their first love. Understand that God always told the children of Israel that he would be their God and they would be his people.That is how he feels about us today wanting us to turn back to him as a nation, which knowing that the church is a nation within a nation. We are great in number but know that even with a little God can do great things, all he needs is a willing heart.
Lets pray!!
Father we thank you for your mercy and grace that you have given us through the precious life of Jesus Christ, we come today asking for forgiveness on behalf of our own house and on behalf of your people just a Nehemiah prayed. We ask that you restore our hearts and our minds that we maybe transformed as you spoke in your word that " we are transformed by the renewing of our minds" Father we lay down every self desire and ask that the yoke of Jesus Christ be upon us because your word says " take my yoke upon you for my yoke is easy and my burden is light" we ask that you break every chain and yoke of bondage that has been place upon us by the worlds systems and that we be set free today in the name of Jesus so that we may worship you freely. Lord we ask for relationship with you and desire intimacy. We thank you Lord for restoring us and ask that " You let your light so shine upon men that they may see your good works and glorify our Father which is in heaven" in the name of Jesus. We ask that your will be the desire of our hearts in Jesus name. Amen!! Amen!!, Amen!!!!

Thank you again. I look forward to your continued series. This is such a area of our spiritual life that is neglected, but is so important. You have actually caused me to look deeper at what is going on in my life and what God is trying to show me. Because I feel I am having "Issues of the heart'. I have always been a loving person, being able to love everyone. But that is the area I am being challenged. Your blogs are helping me to identify with what is going on in the Spiritual Realm (sp), and how I can fight back in the natural realm.
Thanks again and stay encouraged to do God's work.
