A Miracle Blessing [ REPOST ]

This week's Scripture: Jesus said that the last days would be like the days of Noah: people would be marrying and giving in marriage and yet after all these years of experience, marriage as an institution is under great pressure today. It is appropriate therefore that we try and learn some secrets of a successful marriage from Jesus first miracle at the Wedding at Cana.
1. Invite Jesus (John 2:1,2)
* Beginning of miracles: Jesus was invited to the marriage. Even though it was a two-day journey by foot he came. Jesus has paid the price of coming from heaven to earth and desires to come into our hearts but we must personally invite Him. The miracle begins when we invite Jesus into our lives.
2. Bring needs to Jesus (John 2:3,4)
* Problems: (John 2:3) Sooner or later every marriage encounters problems. Here the honeymoon seemed to be over before it began. Lovers are blind. Marriage is the eye-opener! Love is a dream. Marriage is the alarm clock!
God is moved by faith: Mary's implicit faith moves Jesus. God is moved not by need but by faith. Faith can change God's timetable. Faith pleases God (Heb 11:6)
3. Give Jesus what you have (John 2:6)
*& Six stone jars: Ordinary jars used for ceremonial washing. 6 is the number of man, empty speaks of our condition without Christ.
* Water: Ordinary, tasteless, odorless. Jesus asked for what was available, what they had. They had to bring it to Jesus. Water also speaks of the Holy Spirit. When we are filled `with the Holy Spirit there is opportunity for miracles.
* What do you have? Bring it to Jesus! He is not looking for ability but for availability. Abraham - one son, Moses - staff, David - sling, Widow of Zarephath - little flour and oil, Disciples - five loaves and two fish.
4. Do whatever Jesus says (John 2:5,7-11)
* Do whatever He says: (John2:5) last recorded words of Mary. Excellent advice. Sometimes it is difficult, doesn't make sense yet God wants implicit obedience. Miracle happened only as they obeyed and drew out the water.
* He saves the best for the last: (John2:10) In the world the best is served first but Jesus saves the best for the last. No matter what may have happened in the past, the best is yet to come. He is a redeeming God able to work all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Rom 8:28).

1) Invite Jesus into your marriage, 2) Bring you needs to Him, 3) Give Him what you have and 4) Do whatever He tells you. May your marriage be successful and experience miracles like this one at Cana.

Like I always say THREE EQUALS ONE [ God, You and Spouse ]. is not a crowd when you have our Heavenly Father in your marriage. Pray together if you are married and if you are not , but hoping God will bless you with a spouse, make sure you pray for a person who loves God to the fullest , so both of you all will have that Godly love for each other.
