A "SHUT" HEAVEN
There probably could not be found two dozen people who haven't found themselves in a posture of intense"waiting to see the salvation of the Lord",and the manifestation of certain promises the Lord vowed to give us a long time ago. Who has NOT had to wonder if he Lord still remembered their name, and if He was still in covenant reelationship with them, and if He still remembered His Word that went out over us. There are many who've received the promise of being positioned "under an open Heaven", and the only thing that appeared to come forth from heaven's domain,was thunder and lightning, and some heavy duty clouds, but no "dew" to nurture and replenish the proimises,and no rain to irrigate and establish a steady flow of the blessings of the Lord that maketh rich, and addeth no sorrow with it. Being equipped with the knowledge, persuasion, and conviction that the Lord, Jehovah-Jireh, still delights in the prosperity of His servants, and He DESIRES ABOVE ALL THINGS THAT WE PROSPER AND BE IN HEALTH, EVEN AS OUR SOULS PROSPER", we can only conclude ,or deduct that something is amiss either between us, as we walk out and work out our salvation in the first heaven,and the guaranteed release of ur blessings from the third heaven, or it's a hard season of being tried in the proverbial "fire".! So, now, what could possibly be wrong that's keeping us from the full portion of our inheritance in God, both naturally and spirtually? Where must we have missed it that caused us to shift from being beneath an "open heaven", to stading in the agonizing heat of the wilderness.? Surely, it's not God's fault, and He also delights in giving "good gifts" to men, and He's more than capable of blessing us far better than our natural Daddies ever could. Usually, when we find ourselves in an insanely profound and extended season of "feeding" the cankerworm, the palmerworms,and the locusts, there's something in us, or in our lives that the Lord wants to perfect, and correct, even if it's no more than delivering us from all disbelief,and stretching us in our faith,to qualify us for those "greater works".
God, being a God who's more than fair, sovereign in all of His ways, and eagert o hasten to the cries of His people, has determined that, basically, there is a "cause ad effect" process in the spirt realm,and that there's nothing that occurs in our lives, that is without cause. Why would the Lord Who gave us the rain, turn around and shut up the heavens, that we desperately need to remain in their "open" position? "Ye have sown much, ad bring in little; ye eat but ye have not enough;ye drink but ye are not filled with the drink' ye clothe ye, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages , earneth wages to put into a bag with holes"! Thus saith the Lord of hosts; 'CONSIDER YOUR WAYS"! "Ye looked for much and found little; and when ye brought it home,I did blow upon it WHY?b saith the Lord of hosts. "BECAUSE OF MINE HOUSE THAT IS WASTE , AND YE RUN EVERY MAN TO HIS OWN HOUSE". THEREFORE THE HEAVEN OVER YOU IS STAYED FOR DEW,AND THE EARTH IS STAYED FROM HER FRUIT." In other words, the Lord informed them that His house, the household of faith was neglected and in ruins, while the people of God went on their merry way, adding to, building up, ad establishing their own houses, and it was a serious enough infraction for Him, to dry up, and with hold the dew of the land. "Therefore I (the LORD, Himself did this thing) called for a drought upon the land , and upon the mountains, and upon the corn,and upon the new wine , and upon the oil, and upon the ground which bringeth forth, and upon men and upon cattle, and upon all the labor of their hands There is a reaon why our churches are so dark and heavy in atmosphere,why our services are so parched, methodical, and dry. There is a reason why we need to spend so much time strategizing to bring in money, money,and more money, because no matter how the people of God give, the budget and overhead are never met, there's always a reason or need to engage in some "drive" , pledged, or another, and, yet,no one seems to be prospering according to the ordinances of God. WHY? There's a strong possibility that there is sin and iniquity present in the house, or there may be the idolizing of the Pastor, or of the church itself, with no real covenant relationship with Christ, evident. "Consider thy ways"! We have become such a rebellious, non-God fearing, self-centered , "no Christ loving, worshipping or serving" body of believers, until, it's an absolute miracle that God hasn't removed all of our "candlesticks", and stamped "Ichabod" on our doorposts! He said to "Take heed to yourselves that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside and serve other gods, and worship them; and then the Lord's wrath be kindled against you and HE SHUT UP THE HEAVEN,that here be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly off the good land which the Lord giveth you." One of or greatest downfalls, and the thing that is soon to provoke the uncensored, and unregulated wrath of God upon us is our arrogancy toward Him,and the lack of reverence and Godly fear for Him!
Down through Biblical history, when the people of God got carried away with their disobedience,greed, and reebellion, He cut off their "water supply", whether through the dew or the rain, and "water" symbolizes the Holy Spirit, which means that during these times of His wrath and judgement, He withdrew Himself from them! "When heaven is SHUT UP , and there is no rain, BECAUSE THEY HAVE SINNED AGAINST THEE ' if they pray toward this place , and confess Thy Name, and turn from their sin,when Thou afflictest them, then hear Thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of Thy servants, and of Thy people, Israel, that Thou teach them the good way that they should walk, and give rain upon thy land,which Thou hast given Thy people as an inheritance." It is of note, that now that the Lord was effectively working a work of "brokeness" in th people,they gave Him His proper glory, by even identifyig that the "land" they had been blessed to have stewardship over, actually belonged to Him ! Sometimes we find the heavens closed to us, because we embrace and receive another doctrine which causes us to become "accursed". "But woe unto you scribes, and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye SHUT UP HE HEAVEN AGAINST MEN" FOR YE NEITHER GO IN YOURSELVES, NEITHER SUFFER YE THEM THAT ARE ENTERING TO GO IN."! wE NEED TO BE VERY MINDFUL OF WHOM WE DISRESPECT,MDISHONOR, PUT OUR MOUTH ON,CRITICIZE,RIDICULE, MOCK , SCANDALIZE, AND SCORN, BECAUSE THE BIBLE SAYS IN REV. 11:3 THAT HIS "TWO WITNESSES" HAVE BEEN GIVEN POWER TO PROPHESY, AND TO SHUT THEHEAVEN, THAT IT RAIN NOT IN THE DAY THEIR PROPHECY, AND THE POWER TO TURN THE WATERS INTO BLOOD"! The God of all wisdom and truth, would have us to "consider our ways" daily, as a way of life,even as we prepare to fellowship with the Lord, and see if we might be that individual who has provoked the curse of barreness, lack, containers with holes, drought, and "broken and empty cisterns, empty storehouses, and unfilled baskets, because we have a kingdom promise,divinely endorsed by the King of Kings ,Himself, that tells us "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in my house, and prove me herewith ,saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not OPEN THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN, AND POUR YOU OUT A BLESSING , THAT THERE SHALL NOT BE ROOM ENOUGH TO RECEIVE IT." When we see the great absence of assured healings, miracles, souls flooding the altar in repentance crying "What must I do to be saved?", when we have to struggle to set an atmosphere of genuine praise, amnd the purity of worship, when men's hearts are no longer "burning" within them through the power of the preached Word, when sins of fornication, lust, greed, homosexuality, pride, and idolatry, boldly manifest in our churches, we are experiencing a "shut heaven", and there's still one way to provoke God to restore the wellsprings of salvation, the rivers of Life, and the free flowing water of the abundance of the Holy Spirit, and that is still, "If My people Who are called by My Name, would humble themselves and pray, seek My face,and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive ther sins, and heal their land," This is the "key" that unlocks heaven's doors
