Her popular weekly radio broadcast, “Holding On Ministries Live,” offers words of encouragement and hope through Christ Jesus. Shirlene is on call 24 hours a day to pray with individuals who contact the Holding On Ministries telephone lines. Broadcasts can be heard across Birmingham, Alabama and the world via the internet every Friday at 2:30 p.m. (Central Standard Time) on radio internet radio station.

Her pulpit extends to conferences and other gatherings, where she allows the Holy Spirit to use her in delivering the Rhema (Living Word) for the wounded and weary.  Her diverse background includes working as a Residential Coordinator/House Mother for unwed mothers and recovering addicts.

She has a passion to see souls saved, healed, delivered and restored, which was birthed when God completely delivered her from an illness. As a result of this miracle, she decided to allow the gifts in her life to bring glory to the redemptive healing work of Jesus Christ and His unconditional love.

Born into a musically gifted family in Bridgeton, New Jersey, Shirlene began singing in her church choir at the age 12. She has sung with the gospel choir named “Southern Regional Gospel Choir. Not surprisingly, Ms. Davis has tapped into God’s healing promises through anointed prayers set to music. For example, she wrote the lyrics to a sound track provided by a producer for her latest project, “A Healing Prayer,” which is being played all over the world on Christian and Gospel radio stations.

Shirlene became the Founder and President of The Mattie Holden Young Merit Award, a non-profit, organization created to provide financial assistance to high school students from low-income families. An active contributor since 2005, she’s delighted to see how many young lives have been changed. Despite homelessness, a life-threatening hurricane and the many challenges of single parenthood, she still trusts God and stands on His promises. Shirlene has accepted her various challenges as stepping stones to experience more of God's grace. Based on Matthew 19:26:  With God, all things are possible, Shirlene believes one’s potential is limitless when one places his trust in God Almighty and believe the word of God.
