Addiction in the Church

As America stands poised on the edge of the beginning of the Twenty-first Century, starling statistics weight heavily on its shoulders threatening to impede the progress of our great Nation. Generation ("next") has stormed onto the scene flaunting, sex, gang violence and Drugs as the "Cool thing to do? Practicing once frowned upon as preferential. The war against Drugs has been an on going struggle for decades, but in recent years the rise in the number of Drug related hospital room visits and the growing popularity of Drug use among Church folks indicates an increase need for action!!!!!!!

If the truth be told the Church has placed a Band-aid over the problem. Having been Addicted myself for Twenty-eight years, and delivered for twenty-three years. I’ve seen the need within the Church to address these Issue’s on a National scale, with Drug Conferences, Seminars, which deal with Deliverance. We need to examine Drug addiction from a Biblical stand point starting with Noah our First example of Addictive Behavior Genesis 9:2, We also need to Examine Lot Genesis 19:30-35 and His Daughter’s, these are apart of the generational Curses which needs to be Broken and Exposed, comparing these to what has affected our Community, and the Church as a whole.

In order to change a Generation, we need to take the covers off within the Church, and admit that we have a problem; we can begin by allowing those who have been Delivered from these infirmities of addiction to teach from their experience of substance abuse.

There are many Pastors who have had a bout with an Addiction or two who need to expose the enemy Satan, and many lives will be restored, if those great leaders of the Church would tell the people the truth about their lives. The Apostle Paul so graciously did and many Sinners were brought to the body of Christ.
