"AN EVERLASTING LOVE"

PSALM 23:1-6

There is nothing more important to me than the love of Jesus. For this man died on a hill called Calvary. Being that He was crucified to a cross with nails in His feet and nails in His hands, enduring the pain with a crown of thorns on His head, He was willing to die for your sins and for my sins. Jesus, the only one who was truly innocent to take on a guilty man's punishment. For the bible says He was lead from judgment hall to judgment hall. Being questioned from King Herod, he sent Jesus back to Pilate. And at this time, they were to bring out the worst criminal and the people had to make a choice. Of all people, they brought out Barabas, a murderer, a convicted felon. But yet the people wanted Barabas to be set free. Pilate asked what evil has Jesus done. Yet they still wanted Jesus to die. I'm talking to someone right now. As Pastor Haynes would say; I'm in your koolaid, I got your flavor. I may not know you but God knows you. You are at a point in your life where you feel like you are stuck like Chuck and you want God to kill some things in your life. You're tired of trying to live right while everybody else is doing they're own thing. You're tired of tithing when some people are barely tipping. You're tired of sleeping by yourself and you want to be married, but everybody else is having one casual sex partner after another. Can I preach this like I feel it? Hugging the pillow isn't satisfying you anymore. The way your hormones are raging, buying a dog is a waste of your hard-earned money. Oh, I'm going there: the toys you bought are not fulfilling your needs anymore and you want the real thing. You get sick and tired of turning on the radio and hearing songs that deal with someone falling in love with someone. You sit and wonder when will my change come? Why is it so hard for me to crucify these desires of being in lust? Some of us get lust confused with love. Oh I know he looks good, he smells good, but where does he stand with God? Let me help you sisters. Sisters', stop looking at his equipment and find out if he's equipped. Equipment won't last for 6 or 7 minutes. Can he love you? Can he pray for you? Can he treat you like you ought to be treated? Can he respect you? Can he stay employed for more than six months? Because there are some brothers who claim to be men in age, but are nothing but little boys. And if he refuses to grow up, kick his sorry behind to the curb. Now there are some men who are good brothers, godly brothers. Let God send him to you. Now I got to make this thing balance. Brothers', I know she's a brick house. The lady's stacked and that's a fact, ain't holding nothing back. As a matter of fact, she knows she's built and knows how to please. Sho nuff, sho nuff can knock a strong man to his knees. But can she love love you? Can she pray for you? Can she be a mother to your children? Can she work instead of watching soaps all day? Can she cook more than Ramen noodles and grape juice? Can she stay with you whether through richer or for poor? I ain't saying she's a gold digger, but she ain't messing with no broke.................

Until you learn how to be contempt with yourself and wait on God, you need to stay single.

As I look at this text, I see three things.

The first thing I see is that God is ABLE:

Yes, He is able to carry you through whatever you are going through. Verse one says that the Lord is my shepard, I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green pastures. The term lying down is symbolic of rest. It makes no sense for us to be upset and worrying about stuff we have no control over. God is not blind to the fact you want to be better in life. So what you don't have a house yet. You have a roof over your head. So what you don't have the 2010 vehicle, your car is almost paid off. So what you don't have steak, at least you eating. Stop selling God short and give God praise for what you do have. If God doesn't do another thing, I'll still give Him the praise. He is able to see us through all the way. You can be healed from sickness, He is able. You can be debt-free, He is able. You can finish your education, He is able.

Not only is He able.

Secondly you can ACHIEVE:

You can achieve in what you believe. If you believe like you lost your mind, you can achieve that. If you believe that you want to live in sin, you can achieve that. But how many people know that if you want to be saved, you can be saved? if you want to be set free, you can be set free. If you want to live more abundantly, you can live more abundantly. I know it may look bad, but rejoice. The money didn't come through, but rejoice. You may have gotten laid off, but rejoice. Your car is gone, but rejoice.

Though I walk through................... Too many of us want to stay in our mess. Get up from your mess. Dust yourself off. Get up from that broken home. Get up from that broken relationship. Once you get up, tell your haters to have a front row seat. Thou prepare a table before me, not in the absence of, but in front of my enemies. he anoints my head with oil, my cup runs over. Your cup doesn't need to be full, it needs to run over. Because when God blesses you, its also for others.

Not only is He able.

Not only can you achieve.

But also you are ANOINTED.

Why? Goodness and mercy shall follow you, shall follow me all the days of our lives. Not to say that everyday will be bright, but as long as we got Jesus, our latter days will be greater. For the best is yet to come.

Give Him praise!!
