Jeremiah 17: 21-24a & 27} This is God's message: Be careful, if you care about your lives, not to desecrate the Sabbath by turning it into just another workday, lugging stuff here and there. Don't use the Sabbath to do business as usual. Keep the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your ancestors. They never did it, as you know. The paid no attention to what I said and went about their own business, refusing to be guided or instructed by me. But now, take seriously what I tell you. Quit desecrating the Sabbath by busily going about your own work, and keep the Sabbath day holy by not doing business as usual. But if you won't listen to me, won't keep the Sabbath holy, won't quit using the Sabbath for doing your own work, busily going in and out of the city gates on your self-important business, then I'll burn the gates down. In fact, I'll burn the whole city down, palaces and all, with a fire nobody will be able to put out!

The Lord really impressed it on my heart to use "The Message" bible to deliver what He had to say today. Why? Because He wants to be as plain as He can in the hopes His people will not only listen but apply His word to our lives. We, as Christians, have become selfish and emotionally driven. That is what God is showing me. We are more interested in satisfying the desires of our flesh than to honor and give God glory. We have fallen into Satan's trap of "Me, Myself and I." We can't even obey a simple command to keep the Sabbath holy. To take one day out of the week to go to church, get connected with the body of Christ, to have that one heart accord and unity and to praise God for all He has done for us. Some of us use God as a sugar daddy. We run to Him only when we need something. And most times we take for granted what He does for us and can't even take the time to sit in His presence and praise and thank Him. We should be spending time with Him every single day so that He can touch us and empower us!

So many Christians today would rather do their own thing on the Sabbath. They would rather go to a ball game, go to the movies, go gambling, stay home and watch tv, let's face it we have become lazy and complacent in our walk with God. How this must break the heart of Jesus that we do not place Him in the highest place of importance in our lives. Many in the world are doing this now....they want nothing to do with God. Well folks, take a look around and see the price they are paying. Hurricanes, oil spills, tornadoes, floods...we need to rethink our walk with God otherwise we too will have a price to pay for our disobedience. God is not interested in religion, He is interested in having a deep and intimate relationship with each one of us. But we have our part to do in order to achieve that! Jesus already did His part!

Our church right now is exploding with the move of the Spirit of God. Even our pastor could not contain himself when the spirit took over our service this past Sunday. And that's the way it should be! We need to get ourselves out of the way and allow the Spirit of God to move in any way He desires. When we do this maybe many of us wouldn't be as bound or sick as we are! Many of us feel this pregnancy in our spirits that God is about to do something fantastic and beyond belief. God desires to move through His people in such a way that the whole world will know that God is still the "I AM!" Sadly enough tho, no matter how much God speaks to His people many have become stiff necked, rebellious and lazy. They have ears but do not hear and they have eyes but do not see. How often God has spoken to us through these sharings and many other avenues for us to humble ourselves and pray for this nation. How many of us have done this? How often He has spoken to us to get connected back with the body of Christ so that we don't miss out on the great move of His Spirit which is now taking place. How many of us continue to ignore the Sabbath? How many times has He called us to take time to be with Him and develop intimacy with Him? How many of us have disciplined ourselves to do this? God always warns before a shaking comes. God always warns when He is about to do something. Yet, how many of us listen and take heed?

It really saddens me that so many Christians want nothing to do with God or other Christians lately. They don't have to say a thing, we see it lived out, we see it by what they speak and their body language. We see it when they constantly make up excuses for leaving the church God put them in. We need to remember that we are a living testimony for Christ. If we are not applying ourselves than we are not much of a witness. The great falling away is happening, are you part of it? We need to allow God to really search our hearts daily because our own hearts are very deceitful. Imagine for a moment if you will if each one of us got on fire for God....just as we did when we first came to the Lord. Imagine the impact that would be on this world. Look at the impact of the first twelve men that Christ chose! There are millions of us out there, each one carrying a flame that could ignite a spiritual fire in this world that could not be put out. Glory to God! Heed what God is saying to His people. Get planted and stay planted. And even more....be very sensitive to God's voice and His leading in these days.

Some of these sharings are not easy for me to give out. But God reminds me that He does chastise and rebuke. He doesn't want even one of His children missing out on the great blessings that are about to take place. He loves us so much that He will never give up on us. But this should not be an excuse for us to stay stubborn and in rebellion. We are the ones who give up on Him! Let's get back on the path He set us on and let's get to work. God is going to supply for us in supernatural ways in the days to come. The world will be astonished as to how we can be blessed in such times as these. God is bringing the harvest to us. Are we ready? I pray we are. So many are coming to the Lord in these days. It's the last great harvest folks. Let's get busy. Also God is going to bless with a harvest those who have sown. Have you sown? And the Spirit says "Come!" Will you come? God bless you. I love you, but Jesus loves you so much more than I ever could.
