ANOTHER COUNSELLOR

"And I will ask the Father,and He will give you another comforter(Counsellor,Helper,Intercessor,Advocate,Strengthner,and Standby),that He may remain with you forever"(Amplified Bible).
Just the night before Jesus is to be crucified,He announced to His disciples at the Upper room that He will soon leave t5his world and return to His Father in Heaven.Their stomachs must have churned within them as they heard their Friend,Master and Teacher say this.For long He has been to them a Counsellor par execellence.But now He was going,Who was to be their inspiration and guide?
He promised His disciples that "Another Counsellor " is to take His place.As the above scripture said it was done when this disciples of His were all together in Jerusalem in Acts chapter 2.He the promised Counsellor has been and remained in the world to be our Counsellor too.But how dependent are we on His Counsel?How often do we draw on His resources?For when we gave our life to Christ and accepted Him as our Lord and Saviour,this Spirit,the Holy Spirit,that is the promised Counsellor came to make His home in us(Romans 8:9).Yet we often prefer to muddle along on our own and that is why we don't grow in life,business,academics etc.You can live a life which God want you to live by getting to know God's Word for yourself and declaring them in your prayers and allowing the Spirit to prayer for you(Worshiping God in the Spirit-Unknown Tounges).God bless you.
