Are the Ten Commandments still Valid Today?
Are the "Ten Commandments" still Valid today for Christians?
I understand that in the times we are living today, the Church has many enemies and many internal problem which we should take care of in a hurry, but this is like an ...appetizer, to give you an idea of what we may have to face in the near future, if we really want to get back and closer to God!
In John chapter 15:9 and 14, Jesus says that if we really love Him, we should obey His Commandments! If we don't obey His Commandments we don't love Him! ...And we know that God's Commandments are Jesus' Commandments and vice-versa! ...Not that we are saved by doing these things, but the question is ...Why not? ...What's wrong in oberying them?
I believe that although in the past we have lived in a different way, because someone tought us different, we know that the eyes and the grace of God don't depart from us or from the church in a sadden way, but ...slowly, as we depart from him and don't even stop to see where we are going.
So, let's see if we are obeying the Ten Commandments. Let's start from the Second! ...From what I see on many christian Sites, we are transgressing the Second Commandment.
God forbade the "making and worshiping" of other gods, but even to worship God Himself, with the use of graven images! In Isaiah God asks the question ...To whom would you like me? Which likeness would you give me? (Isaiah 40:18-25; and 44:9-20) Many (like the Catholics), justify themselves saying that they don't worship Mary and the saints, but they just respect them! ...Well, God didn't just say not to worship them, but He said not to even make them in the first place!
As I said, on these BPN sites, but also in every American and other Americanized church and christians around the world, we see very beautiful figures of Jesus, crosses, angels and other human or animal images or sculpture, which are used in churches and in other religious situations. Yet all these things are forbidden by God! If you want to understand what I am saying in a much clear way, just go to Deuteronomy 4:15-20. ...Today we see beautiful "crosses" hanging from a necklace and from the neck of almost every believer, like if God never said anything about these things!
You may say ...But today things are changed; God doesn't mind these things anymore! O yeah? ...An where do we find it written that God doesn't mind these things anymore?
Pastors, ...Just do yourself and your church a favor; meditate on the Second Commandment as it's written on Exodus 20:4-6, and in Deuteronomy 4:15-20, and then you will see what I mean.

Brother, everything that you said above is 100% correct.
Please let us know if you agree that the 7th day Sabbath should be kept, from Friday night at sunset to Saturday night at sunset.
