Lately there has been so much chaos and crisis in our lives, that instead of moving forward, we are simply trying to hold on to God.

The Bible urges us to do just that:

"But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are His house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast" (Hebrews 3:6).

""We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first" (Hebrews 3:14).

"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess" (Hebrews 4:14).

We are instructed to hold on to our courage, to hold on to the hope we have in Christ, to hold firmly to the confidence we had when we first came to Christ and to the faith we profess.

These are good reminders, but what if I feel like I can't hold on any longer?

Then, it is time to recall that it was God who first took hold of me. "I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me" (Philippians 3:12b).

My survival does not depend on me; as I cling to God I remember that before I chose Him, He chose me, before I loved God, He loved me, before I held on to Him, He held me.

When darkness and evil surround us, we must consciously call to mind that God gave Jesus Christ all power and authority; in Him and through Him we find salvation, courage, hope and faith.

"[Christ] is before all things, and in Him all things hold together" (Colossians 1:17).

Holy God, thank you that You are the One who holds me, help me to hold on to You.

Be Blessed and remember to BE a blessing!

Thanks Women of God this is true, this shows God's committment as for as His part in the covenant, and fidelty to His People, His Priestly Role,His Power to to keep everything under control etc., then its our part of the covenant, to trust Christ works at calvery for salvatyion, repent of our sins or change our minds about living in it, to Love and walk under His Lordship ( To obey Jesus ), Rom 6:13 says we are no longer obligated to the flesh but we are obligated to God, 1 Cor 6:17 that our job is to come out from among them and be seperate and keep our hands off the unclean things so he can recieve us and keep us as His children, so we have a covenant responsibility and God has a covenant responsibility those versus shows just that, Resolve: let's keeping holding on to the Faith, Let's keep our confidence in what God has said in His word and the work of Christ ,Let's press on and by Faith get hold to what got us, God has the power to hold us if we make the choice to choose who have chosen us in Christ and every day we make that choice to submit to the Lordship of Christ which is evidence that you have trusted His work at calvery and for Him to lead you out of a sinful lifestyle so you will be saved, and not be guilty of trampling under the foot the Son of God, or on the other hand your're making a choice to not let Him be Lord which is the evidence you have not trusted Him as Savior ( His work at calvery ).

Oh! yes my child,I am truly holding on, there isn't anything one, or anyone to hold on too but our Savior.
though the world is in tormoil now I truly feel confident that God is in control. Jesus stood out on a boat one stormy day, and spoke Peace be still!! He is still the same God today as He was yesterday.
Peace!! Evangelist Lessie

Thanks Tarmeque for reminding me,that I must hold on. This last year has been very trying to both my husband and I. Both had surgery three weeks apart. My husband had complication from his surgery. Both of us is strong in faith and we know what prayers can do. We are better, but the struggle wore me out, ,so please keep me in your prayers and with the word. Love

Well, well, well! The truth is He asks us to hold on to the faith and confidence that He is holding on to us. Relax, rest, be refreshed as He holds on to you. Then wherever He takes us, whatever the experiences, the peace we find is in the truth He is holding on to us. So let Him hold on.

John 10:27-30:
27: My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.
28: I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from Me,
29: for My Father has given them to Me, and He is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father's hand.
30: The Father and I are one."

That's it...Hold on to the word! In the beginning was the word, and the word was God! HOLD ON!
