Matthew 18:1-4} At that time the disciples came up and asked Jesus, Who then is really the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And He called a little child to Himself and put him in the midst of them, And said, Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children (trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving), you can never center the kingdom of heaven ( at all).

How often have we real today's Scripture and really meditated on it? How many of us have even noticed the second part of this Scripture? It is so amazing how the Holy Spirit will open up a Scripture and then begin to minister to us. How He loves to encourage His people. In this day and age we need all the encouragement we can get. However, we should be like David and learn to encourage ourselves in the Lord. The sad thing is that Satan is winning the battle with many of us because we have not become like little children when it comes to God. We get into doubt, anxiety, worry....all things that take over what we should have at work in us and that is faith! All these negative things not only cancel out our faith, but it cancels out our blessings and opens a door even wider for other things to come into our lives to destroy us. We need to remind ourselves that the enemy comes to steal, rob and destroy. But Jesus came to give us life and that more abundantly. Satan is already defeated people!!! Why do you think he is so angry at God's children? Even he knows he is defeated and he knows what his end is. But he is too stubborn and rebellious to ever change or to listen to anyone.

So what does God mean by becoming little children? Well first of all let me point out to you that this Scripture is basically saying that being born again isn't enough. We need to be like little children. Little children depend totally upon their parents for everything. They are totally dependent and trust them to give them not only all they need, but their very best. They take in everything their parents say and do, everything they teach them. They are like little spunges. Shouldn't we be that way with our heavenly Father? Now I know some of us have not had the best parents but we need to remember that God is not like our earthly parents. He is filled with love, compassion, patience, forgiveness, tenderness and generosity that far exceeds any of our earthly parents. It's time to change our thought process around folks. The only way that is going to happen is for us to get in His Word and keep pressing in. It's also good to be connected with people who are like minded.

If we read further into today's Scripture we know that verse 6 says whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in and acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be sunk in the depth of the sea. The most important part of this walk is to love one another. We should never say or do anything to hurt one another. That is one reason why we are connected to God's family. Negative words and actions will make God's children stumble. We can't encourage another person if we are not encouraged ourselves. Oh we can speak the words but God's anointing will not be on those words if we do not believe them for ourselves. Just as God restored Job at the end of his trials and testing so God desires to do for us. The question is, do we believe He can? If we don't, we will continue in that particular trial we are in now. It all depends on our attitude towards God. If we do believe Him then why do we try to fix things on our own? We feel we are all grown up, we know it all (just like some teenagers to) and so we try to do things on our own. That is not becoming like a little child folks. Don't forget, God said that we would not enter the kingdom of heaven without doing that! We need to seriously consider this. We need to be totally dependent on Him more than the things of this world. He is our Source not this world!

We have so many Christians today who are Christians in name only. The became born again and it stopped there. They don't need to be in church, they know it all! They just want to do their own thing and not participate in the things God put in place for our own protection. That is why most of them see no changes in their lives. Transformation by the Spirit is an ongoing thing. I don't know about you but when it comes to God and the things of His kingdom.....I know nothing. It's a lifetime process, it's a learning process. And if we are not open to continue on in this walk and become like a little child then we are in danger. This message was so strong in my spirit today I had to give it out. I pray God's anointing on it and on the ears and eyes that will receive and I pray God gives you a deep revelation of what He is saying here. Most of all I pray you put it to practice in your lives. Let's not walk around like religious know it alls. Let's keep pressing in, trusting God, seeking Him with all our hearts and most of all trusting Him and His word to be fulfilled in our lives. No matter what kind of report we get, no matter what happens out there in the world, God has our back. He will always do His best for us if we will only believe. He will deliver us out of every single negative thing that comes our way. We should be giving Him praise ahead of time for this. It's His promise to us! He is our Father, He loves us deeply but He does expect us to do our part. God bless you, I love you, but Jesus loves you so much more than I ever could.
