Born But Not Buried: The Danger of Judging Others

Good Morning World! We're born but we're not buried. As long as we live, we will face trials. We don't know how we'll face them. We are snared by our own words. Often the problem that we see in others is the very thing that needs to change in us. If we can recognize another's fault, we are accountable for being able to recognize it in ourselves. See something wrong with someone? Examine yourself. Have a great day!

Judge not, that ye be not judged. Matthew 7:1

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Matthew 7:2

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Luke 6:37

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. Romans 2:1

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Matthew 7:3-5

Quote of the Day: We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It's one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it's another to think that yours is the only path. Paulo Coelho

“We judge others by their behavior. We judge ourselves by our intentions.” Ian Percy

When I am able to resist the temptation to judge others, I can see them as teachers of forgiveness in my life, reminding me that I can only have peace of mind when I forgive rather than judge. Gerald Jampolsky

We are all inclined to judge ourselves by our ideals; others by their acts. Harold Nicolson

“We judge ourselves by what we feel capable of doing, while others judge us by what we have already done.” Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

“No accurate thinker will judge another person by that which the other person's enemies say about him.” Napoleon Hill

I can't judge any of you. I have no malice against you and no ribbons for you. But I think that it is high time that you all start looking at yourselves, and judging the lie that you live in. Charles Manson (How can a serial killer have a revelation that escapes many Christians?)

Today in Jewish History: 11th Nissan 5770

All Jews Circumcise upon Entering Canaan (1273 BCE) Following the Jewish nation's crossing of the Jordan into the land of Canaan (see entry for "Nissan 10"), and in preparation for the bringing of the Passover Offering, all the men were circumcised under the guidance of Joshua.

Due to the weather conditions in the desert which were not conducive for the healing of wounds, throughout the forty year desert sojourn only the Tribe of Levi circumcised their sons.
