CAN I TALK TO YOU?

I posted a blog months and sundays ago, and ask your opinion on gay preachers, pastors.

I asked you what your feelings were concerning that matter. I surely have my own opinions

but was not being judgemental in the statements made before asking how you would handle

a situation if you knew your own pastor or minister was gay. Well from that i allowed myself

to become embroiled in a very unpleasant series of exchanges with someone who took my

question, read something into it and totally lashed out. I am still getting responses from that

blog post from 2009! Here is my reason for posting this today. I have heard all kinds of opinions

from ''as long as the person is respectful, not molesting any kids, etc and is kind and good

it's alright. Love the sinner, hate the sin, etc. Then there were many that were quick to point

out that sin is sin, and what about the whoremongers, fornicators, adulterers, etc lets call

them out to while were calling folks. I totally agree. I am simply saying in all of this, in the

midst of these various opinions, point and counterpoints, the word of GOD and it's importance

gets lost and overshadowed in our desire to get our point across. In all of this, opinions are

like rear-ends. we all have one!! we who claim to value the word of GOD so much, quote

scripture so much, have all the churchy lingo down pat, have trained ourselves to sound

holy, act holy but still something is missing. I know what i say, what you say, what they

say, BUT WHAT DOES GOD SAY?? What does the word of GOD say? Old testament

new testament, what does GOD say about these matters? Many of us want a religeon

that lets us do as we please think what we want and still have GOD on our own terms.

It's as though we go through scripture and treat it like an editor working on a book.

Edit out or reword the parts that we don't like or don't fit our lifestyle. It is written that

JESUS is returning for a church without spot or wrinkle. If that thats the case we are in

serious trouble church! We must return to what the word of GOD says about all of these

matters. I did not post this blog to spark some hot debate, or start some other angry

exchange of dialouge. Merely to take us back to what say the lord. How should certain

matters should be dealt with. It's bad enough we have fifty dozen different denominations

that Jesus never called for us to have and only causes division but all of them claim

their belief or interpretation of scripture is right, thus keeping GODS people further apart.

The arguments that so-called christians get into serve satans purpose not GODS.

At the end of the day, when the smoke clears and the dust settles, it's not about me

or you, or what we think or our considered opinion, but what does GOD SAY! PEACE
