Greetings to All of The Saints Of God on this network.

Today I am still filled and inspired by a thought that has been bubbling over in my spiirt ever since it was lifted and dropped in the lives of those that were in the Ministers Division Of the National Baptist Convention this past June. Dr. L.K. Curry spoke from a thought that centered around this topic while using the text found in Exodus 3 vs. 4-8 &16-17.

This is the text where God spoke to Moses from the burning bush. The text simply says "And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
Verse 16; Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:17 And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey."

In this text it was interesting to see how Moses responded to the voice and command of God. He was afraid to face his own people as well as Pharoah. It was in that dialogue that God told Moses to tell the children of Israel that the God of your fathers have sent you to tell you that he has heard your cries and have seen as well as visited your sorrows. He was afraid even though the God of his fathers had a relationship and record that clearly shows that you can depend on our God because He as Dr. Curry says "our God has a 100% success record."
I wonder do we have a similar relationship or that same record that our fathers had with God? Do we believe that his record that shows he is sucessful in everything that he does inspire us to go and meet the mandate that Jesus gave to us? Does His record give us courage to address the areas of violence , poverty, our economy and all of those things that have been dropped in our communities by those who are in authority of the law but have no personal concerns about these areas I have mentioned because it has not affected the communities they live in.

My question and challenge I raise to each of us is "Can We Trust The God Of Our Fathers? Better still Do We Trust The God Of Our Fathers?

I hear the Word of God ringing in my spirit now as to how we can get God to prove to us today that He can be trusted. For His Word says in 2nd Chronicles 7 vs. 14, "If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Well here is my conclusion and it is not negotiable. Yes we can trust the God of our Fathers! How about you?
