CATCH THE MANTLE OF YOUR LEADERS!

Working Text: 1 Samuel 9:27 & 10:1-5

DEFINITIONS:

Armor Bearer-( Cup Bearer) a retainer bearing the armor or arms of a warrior.

Retainer- one who keeps possession of; one who holds in place or position. A servant, employee, or dependent.

Armor- any covering used as a defense against weapons


POINTS TO PONDER

1.Must be able to discern when the leader needs time away.

2.Can't go everywhere the leader goes; especially in the chamber of prayer. (v.0:1)

3.You must be anointed to serve.(v10:1)

4.The Spirit of the Lord must be upon you in order to serve. (v6)

5.When the Spirit of the Lord overtake you; you will TURN INTO ANOTHER MAN.(6)

6.Wait until you get the next measure of instructions.(v8)

7.Obey and observe the intimate details.(vv2-5)

8.Never operate your God given purpose out of the spirit of your old heart.(10:9)

9.Confidentiality is crucial (vv14-16)

10. YOU CAN"T ALWAYS ARTICULATE WHAT YOU SEE.

11.REMEMBER that your leader is a vessel housed in flesh.

12.Don't expect those who have known you to embrace the new you (v11)

13.You can't serve your leader and not obey the Lord.

14.Your Love for the Lord must SUPERCEDE your love for your leader.

15.Never take possesion of someone/something you don't own.

16.Remain Humble at all times.

17.Always be Grateful for the opportinity to serve.

18.A Servant's reward is greater than an Honorarium.

19.Remember that Humility opens doors that money may never present the opportunity for.

20.Honesty with your leader is the best policy.

21.Your new mantle must be TESTED. (v12)

22.Make yourself of no reputation (v22)

23.God will build your confidence for the assignment (v24)

24.Your persona must be that of Royalty (v25)

25.Everybody is not going to like the fact that you have been MANTLED to SERVE (v27)

26.Keep in mind that REJECTION brings PERFECTION in the Spirit.

27.IF YOUR LEADER CAN SEE IN THE SPIRIT: HE/SHE CAN SEE YOU!!!
