Challenging Days and Trying Nights?
Challenging Days and Trying Nights? How many of you are seeing what seems to be wasted days and trying nights? I will agree with most that we are indeed living in the most trying times in recent history! I guess that maybe over the years many of us has become complacent and fat with some of our successes. We have been prone to consumption at great levels. The belt tightening that many of us are going through right now is the wake up call that many of us needed. Tough Times show the measure of a man or a woman. Maybe the hard times that this land will redirect many of our passions back to where they need to be.
We need to go back to the days where God and family were much more than the acquisition of stuff. Even in the House of Grace, many of us only sought the word to find those scriptures that would reveal how God will turn up our finances so we can achieve millionaire status. I do believe that we serve a God that can richly reward those who follow his Word, but have we kept God as the main thing? I think that many in the church became as caught up with stuff as those of the world.
There is a passage of scripture in the Holy Writ which basically states that if one faints in the day of adversity then one's strength is weak. Your intestinal fortitude isn't worth a hill of beans if it isn't tested by trials and tribulations. The scriptures are full of stories of men and women who overcame some of the most challenging times that have ever been recorded. If God is not a respecter of persons, and if there is no temptation taken you, but such that is common unto man, why are you prone to the why is everyone picking on me syndrome? My sister and my brother hard times come to all the travelers of this thing that we call life.
Trying times are even in the forecast for those who call themselves Christians. Why should we all feel like we could pull a card from Community Chest that would keep us from landing on the properties and hotels of others in this almost surreal real life Monopoly Game! When will the pain stop? Why do I have my game face in public, and return each night to lord my pillow down with tearsof desperation? Help doesn't God see me? Where is the angelic hosts when I need them?
Why am I sounding like the old Richard Dimples Fields' song If It Ain't One Thing It's Another? Why does my life mirror one of those country western somebody has done me wrong songs? How could I have placed so much trust in my investments? How could I have relegated God to a secondary status? Why is everyone Else's relationships doing so well? Is there a bulls eye on my back that I don't know about? Does the enemy's hordes have me singled out as a target for shooting practice? All of these are questions that we ask ourselves when we pull off our public masks!
My brother and sister I see a groundswell of the favor of God coming your way in the days to come. Don't weary in well doing, for those who hold on long enough will see their due season come! Don't pick the easy way out fight for your place in the Halls of Greatness, which is loaded with those who have overcome similar adversities to achieve greatness!
Can you look past the trying nights and challenging nights to see what God has waiting in store for you? Can anything good come out of the mess that you are laboring in? The answer is a resounding yes! God has you pegged out for one of the greatest deliverance's of this age? Hold on until your change comes! Your day will come!
It can be frustrating to see other seemingly getting the blessings most of the time. Why is it always someone else that gets to give the miracle testimony in church? When will it be my turn? Doesn't God know I need strength for the journey? Doesn't God see my fingernails, and my hair starting to caress the sink more than it caress my head? Does God hear me calling 911? Where are the Heavenly Paramedics? Didn't the Heavenly Dispatchers hear my urgent pleas? All of these are questions that the frustrated storm even Heaven itself with.
The essence of Faith is the ability to see the positive when surrounded by the negatives of this world. Can you see past your current dilemma? Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel? Are your days of being called a prayer warrior only applicable in peaceful times? I have found that history readily records those who overcome adversity and hardships! Will you be one of those whose life will mirror those in the Holy Writ who overcame trial after trial? Will you reach back to find the greatness that God has placed in you? Can you reach beyond the break and hold on in a time when so many are letting go?
Can you walk with assurance when others are prone to panic attacks? I am decreeing in the name of Jesus; that there would be a a comfort that is uncommon to this day would envelop the very crevices of your being! God has deposited greatness in you! You were created for crisis times! God could have called your number in any age of this world, but he has you here for a purpose in one of the most challenging days that man has seen. God sees and God knows what you are going through! God still has you as the apple of his eye!
Keep walking by faith and just watch God roll up his sleeves and destroy all the impediments to your walk with him. God wants to be your everything! Can you turn the navigation of your ship over to him? Can you trust God at the wheel? Will you abdicate the driver's seat to a God that has never failed?
Will you return to bending those knees and bowing your head to pray to the Lord of all of the Worlds? God has the answer to every dilemma in your life! God and God alone is the solution to our challenging days and trying nights! Your weeping may have endured for a long night, but hold the presses joy is coming in the morning! It is my most sincere prayer that it would be this morning!
