definition of a bishop

I know that the Word of God talks about bishops. But what is a bishop. I know about an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher this is the 5-fold ministry that is to perfect the saints. What is the role of a bishop?

I've heard it also, and the only way I see it lining up in the word is this God calls preachers, every preacher then is a pastor as you see in many other churches and in different denominations. So then the Bishop then becomes the Head Pastor for lack of a better term. The only way it makes sense to me. But we who are baptist have the associate and the pastor. And the one problem I see with the Bishop being the pastor's pastor is that now the word does not give qualification for a pastor.

Bishop, pastor, elder- all are the same you take on one title you imply them all. Hope that helps
