"The Message" version of the Bible, psalm 89… says.

"Blessed are the people who know the "Password of Praise", who shout on parade in the high presence of God. Delighted, they dance all day long; they know who you are, what you do--- they can’t keep it quiet!

What does this mean "Blessed are the people who know the "Password of praise"?

It`s so easy to praise and give God thanks after we are delivered from a problem - when the headache is gone or your enemies are defeated. But going and extra mile and worship God through very bad conditions really gets God`s attention.

Some people may say; I try praising God, but it`s so hard for me to belive that He really has a hand in ALL things...
Let`s see what the Bible sais about it.

The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5-18 that we are to give God thanks in ALL circumstances (not just when everything is grate)
but when our life is full of difficulties and troubles. That`s what the Bible sais in this verse to thank and praise God in ALL circumstances becouse it`s God`s will for us. This is not an option this is what God command us to do.
Why does God command us to be thankful in All things?
In Romans ch 8:28 sais that ALL things work together for good for those who love the Lord.
Jeremiah 29:11 God sais; For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
So to praise God in ALL circumstances means literally that we accept and approve of it`s happenings as a part of God`s plan for our lives.

Let`s see what the Bible has to say what happens when we start to praise and thank God when our lifes are full of difficulties...
A grate example is found in the Book of Acts 16:25,26. Here we see Paul and Silas in prison. Not only were they thrown in jail, they have also badly beaten and placed in a cold and dirty cell with their feet in stocks - now that`s a depressing situation!
What was their response to this seemingly hopelless set of circumstances? The answer begins in verse 25: About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. SUDDENLY there was such a violant earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken.
At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody`s chains came loose. In verse 27-31 as a resault the jailer and his family got saved!

Here is another good example what happened as people were praising and worshiping God under very bad condition.
In 2 Chronicals 20 people were terrifyed (paralyzed with fear),
Jehosaphat was badly shaken when he heard the news that this grate big army was marching towards them to destroy them. And his army was much smaller then this army that was going to attack them, so he begged God to help him.
So after going without food (fasting) and praying God told him what to do.
Then Jehoshaphat did what the Lord told him to do he gave the orders to his army. He appointed singers (worshipers) to sing to the Lord and to give Him thanks...as they wen`t out before this grate big army singing; Give Thanks to the Lord, for His mercy and lovingkindness endure forever.
What happened as they were singing and giving thanks to the Lord?
The Bible sais that the Lord defeated their enemies by confusing them so much that they killed each other!

One day I asked the Lord to tell me how does praise and thanksgiving confuse the enemy I didn`t understand it and I was seeking him for answers? As I was walking in my garden he said;
When people start to praise and give Him thanks under very difficult circumstances the enemy looses his power over us. He said that praise confuses the enemy becouse he just doesen`t understand how can a person praise God and be thankful when they are supposed to be misserable?
It just doesen`t make any sence to him...and he get`s confused...
he sais; I am not going to bother with this person anymore. Instead of being misserable and angry at God this person is praising God!
He sais this doesen`t make any sence so i won`t bother with this person anymore...I will go and bother someone else!!!

Then when I got back into my house the Lord lead me to a coupple of scriptures to comfirm what he just spoke to me about but also to show me what happens when we fail to thank him and just give up...

What happens when people fail to thank God in all circumstances?

First the Lord led me to turn to Romans 1:21 to show what happens when people fail to thank God. In verse 21 it sais;
People were not thankful and as a result their minds become dark and confused.
So when people are thanking God in bad circumstances it confuses the enemy but when people fail to thank God it`s the other way around they get confused and the Bible sais that their mind becomes dark.

Another example is found in Deutoronomy 28 starting in verse 45 to the end of the chapter. In verse 47 this is what the Lord said;
You will become slaves to your enemies becouse of your failure to praise God. The Lord will send your enemies against you...

I believe that as we give thanks to God in the middle of our situation—especially when it’s a rough one, or an ugly one—our thanksgiving opens the gates, or the doors, of heaven and we’re allowed to go into the court rooms of God singing praises to Him. And as our praise begins to fill the very ears of God Himself, it draws Him into our situation…because Psalm 22:3 tells us that God lives and dwells in the praises of His people.

And when God becomes a part of our situation, no matter how bad it is, that situation can start to change and line up with the will of God.

P.S. I am just reading a book that Ruth. W. Heflin- Glory- Experiencing the Atmosphere of Heaven....and the whole book is on praise and worship and is very powerful....she mentions that there is such power just when we have our hands lifted up praising the Lord and it is soo true. On one ocassion Dave (my husband) hurt his toe at work realy bad his toe was purple color and he was in pain....when we went to bed, shut the lights on I didn`t know why but laying there beside him in the dark my hands on there own whent up and I found myself praising Jesus. When I noticed my left hand that was next to Dave started going towards his foot! I lifted it back up didnt want to wake him up or disturb him....then again it started going toward his foot I got it back up again and I think the third time it just went and as it just stuck on his foot! Dave turned the light on and to our amazement we looked at his toe the pain was gone and not only that but the toe was no more purple it was a normal color....How do you describe something like that?

There has been other miracles that have happened when I just had my hands lifted up just praising Jesus. But this book Experiencing the Atmosphere of Heaven by Ruth W. Heflin is mostly on praise and worship and it`s very powerful. I would strongly advice it to everyone.
