DO NOT RESUSCITATE

In the medical profession, when a patient is in critical condition, and his chances of survival or quality of life is poor, the Physicians give the family the option and counsel to deny "heroic efforts" or any aggressive measures to revive or resuscitate the individual should they stop breathing or go into "cardiac arrest"! In less severe emergency situations, where the patient is viable, restorative, and independently functional, a "code" is called, which entails members from all vital hospital patient support departments, rushing to the crisis, to exercise their greatest individual, and collecitve efforts to give the patient another opportunity to live, and some times their efforts are so aggressive that the patient is injured, sustains broken ribs, a torn larynx or "wind pipe" and a number of other "treatment oriented" afflictions, in the process of being "saved". The delicate decision regarding who is to be "coded" or resuscitated, can become very touchy, and explosive, because of the already strained and pressured state of the family, and Doctors can be arrogant, and insensitive, because they, (some) suffer from the "God complex", believing that THEY actually have the power over life and death. Who should be resuscitated is a very complex decision to make, because some of the most "hopeless" cases, such as those who've been in a vegetative or comatose state for 10-20 years suddenly recover, and some people have been known to spring forth to life and shock the socks off morgue attendants, because they were about to "tag and "refrigerate" them. As much as we value life (some of us) everything and everybody has an appointment with two guaranteed things ;death, and judgement! Some things are worth saving ,and some should be stamped "DO NOT RESUSCITATE", and be left in the morgue or at the cemetery! It is evident, that the Shunamite woman's son had a destiny to fulfill, because, even though his body had,likely, begun to enter into "rigor mortis" and grow cold, the Lord sent the man of God to execute a "code blue", and breathe the "ruwach", breath of life back into him"! We have the testimony of Jairus's little girl, a blessed woman, who had made her transition,and her body had been washed and laid out, in preparation for her "wake" and funeral, and even though the "code" had beeen called, in an effort to bring her back to life, no one had responded, until Jesus came,the "DIVINE RESPIRATOR", the Ruwach, Himself, and breathed life, and that more abundantly, upon her stiff, and frigid cadaver, and she arose , hungering for the Bread of Heaven! After the multitudes in the Valley of Jehoshaphat, had been dead, way past the "stinketh" and "worm" stage, and nothing was left but the skeletal framework of what had once been living, walking, talking, breathing men, the Lord reversed the order to "DO NOT RESUSCITATE", and sent a man of God to revive and perform C.P.R.( COVER, PRAY, REVIVE) on every last one of them, and the Bible says that, immediately, they stood up, and the flesh returned to their bones, and the sinew to their joints, and they were covered with fresh layers of skin,(everything needs to be "covered" for safety and protection) and began to "preach" again, sing again, prophesy again, evangelize and hit the mission fields again! This was the greatest and most impressive act of C.P.R. in the entire history of the world, in that through the prophetic utterance, and command,a mass resuscitation took place, all at one time! When Dorcas lay dead, and the funeral arrangements were about to be made, and her body was already laid out on the "cooling board",the Lord sent a "code team",led by the Apostle Paul to her house, and their resuscitative victory is recorded in Biblica history ! We all know the story of Lazarus, and how he had been a certifiable four day old corpse , and already in his burial tomb, before the "code team" got to him!. It is interesting to note that he lay dead for four days, four being the number of the earth, and the earth represents "man", so God made sure that no "earth man could possibly claim the glory for the wonder He was about to perform! The story further relates how the relatives, and all manner of kin had begun to come by camel, mule, or "moccasins", and trickle in for the funeral services,grieving sorrowfully, and even a little resentul that Christ hadn't come in time enough to help Lazarus, not knowing, that He could've healed him from the other side of the world, if He was of a mind to and if the man had been dead for four years, they were honored and graced to have the very "RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE" right there standindg nose to nose with them, and that He was/is the Breath of Life, and He already put a whippping on death, hell, and the grave, and robbed death of it's sting, for the saints! They failed to recognize that ,"at His Name every kneee shall bow and confess Christ, EVEN DEAD ONES! Then there was a woman called "RIZPAH" who watched her seven sons hung in the town square, and left there without a proper service or even a burial. This woman was so ditressed that she would not leave these dead sons, and protected their corpses day and night, refusing to allow bird nor beast to attack their bodies. These men were allowed to stay dead , at the cost of some things dying in her, without the benefit of a
'crash team, or the execution of "code" procedures!. Judas wasn't even considered for resuscitation,and it was determined that he was better off dead! When Saul went to see the witch, or conjure woman of Endor, he wanted her to resusictate Samuel, and she came to a hasty conclusion, that Samuel was better off dead, and they were all better off too! Sometimes, in our own lives, the Lord is trying to bring deliverance or advance us to his next plan and purpose for our lives, or even to, bless us, but we have formed soul ties with dead people ,situations or things that should not be resuscitated. The Lord is trying to release you from that abusive,psychotic, homicidal mate, and you're so accustomed and familiar with this dysfunctional situation, in which the Lord has ordered "DO NOT RESUSCITATE", that you won't stay off the altar asking God to violate your mate"s free choice to reject Christ and do wrong! You are working your fingers to the bone and are about to stress yourself into a seizure, at the thought of losing that job,not thinking that perhaps, destruction is coming to it, and God wants to elevate you, and bless you with your own business. He wants to "eulogize" it and declare unto you, "DO NOT RESUSCITATE"! It may be the soul tie you were ensnared, with by that man/woman who was lazy,shiftess, disrespectful, unfaithful, violent, immoral, undevoted, surly, abusive, and a pure "heathen"that compels you to get in God's way, and He has coded the relationship "DO NOT RESUSCITATE", but yet, you hover over it like Rizpah, fanning the "flies", off of it, even though you know it had been dead and stinking a very long time! How about your own personal issues, of molestation, abandonment, rape, persecution,slander, betrayal, and injustice, that the pain of rejection, you allow to come upon you again and again, or how you constantly condemn youself for your past deeds, those shameful sins, you committed, way back on the other side of the blood, and that the Lord, Himself, has ministered to you about, and cast into the sea of forgetfullness, but every now and then you dig it up out of the "offense cemetery" and bring it back to life, when you should declare out of your own belly, "DO NOT RESUSCITIATE! When a foul odor seems to cling to you everywhere you go, it's possible that you have some "dead" things on you, and you need to take it to the altar and cry out "DO NOT RESUSCITATE"!, and when you arise, fom that point on, LET THE DEAD BURY THE DEAD!"
