Don't Give up on been Godly ( REPOST )

" 2 Timothy 2:14-18 Repeat these basic essentials over and over to God’s people. Warn them before God against pious nitpicking, which chips away at the faith. It just wears everyone out. Concentrate on doing your best for God, work you won’t be ashamed of, laying out the truth plain and simple. Stay clear of pious talk that is only talk. Words are not mere words, you know. If they’re not backed by a godly life, they accumulate as poison in the soul. Hymenaeus and Philetus are examples, throwing believers off stride and missing the truth by a mile by saying the resurrection is over and done with."
Godly Godly Godly love is a love that can only come from God. It is never ending and unconditional. We cannot fathom the amount of love God has for us. It is different than any type of love we as humans can have.
Doesn’t it feel like you are sometimes the only one willing to take a stand for truth? It could be a lonely thing.
Let’s face it, living a godly life is not popular but it’s possible. Not only is it possible to live a godly life but also God expects it from us. There is great motivation for us to live a godly life.
What does it mean to be godly? It means to have a love for the things of God and to walk in the ways of God.
Titus 2:11-14, “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.”
Looking back on what Christ did. That is what grace is. Grace is God’s favor to us when we don’t deserve it. It comes from his heart that says no strings attached. “It” teaches us to say “no.”
Another motivation is looking forward to what Christ will do! The blessed hope his appearing.
“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.” 2 Peter 3:10-12
In other words Christ’s past act and his future coming teaches me that I need to hold on to this. What Christ has done is exactly what I need. I would be a fool to turn my back on this.
It is best not to be around people doing sin and is always negative about every thing , that is not Godly like.
Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
So hold on and stay strong, this world will try to bring you down or try kill you. God love you so much to send his son to die for our sins.
