When you are going through your night season...and it seems like everything troubling is magnified...remember...weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. I can remember when I was a little girl, when my mother turned out the lights, all of the objects in my room took on a new life thanks to my imagination. I would hide under the covers and make myself go to sleep so morning would come faster. Now that we are adults, unfortunately, we cant hide under the covers to make the bad things in life go away. But not to despair, there is an escape from the dark monstes that threaten to invade and take away our peace of mind. We have to look to the light that chases all the dark and fear away.
Jesus is that light. He promises that if we keep our mind on him, He will give us that peace and feeling of safety the dark of night in our lives threatens to take away from us. He promised us in His word that He would. Read it for yourselves in Isaiah 26:12... "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee'.
Be peaceful, be blessed.
