There are many out there taking other paths, choosing other goals, and trying to get you to go along with them. I've warned you of them many times; sadly, I'm having to do it again. All they want is easy street. They hate Christ's Cross. But easy street is a dead-end street. Those who live there make their bellies their gods; belches are their praise; all they can think of is their appetites.
But there's far more to life for us.
Philippians 3:18-20 Message Bible

What are we living after? What motivates us? What is it that gets us stirred? What is it that has become our focus? What is it that we have invested and committed the majority of our time and resources to making happen? Why?
Are we justifying our life and our life choices or are we living life? Do we find ourselves more often defending a decision we made? Do we find ourselves being disappointed by bad choices more frequently? Do we move to a different place all to discover that the circumstances around us always tend to become just like they were in the place where we moved from? Do we find that relationships with others tend to ended on the same sour note that others have ended on in the past? Now why would that be?
The common denominator and influencing factor in the whole matter is “Self.” Easy living and living life after our appetites is simply selfish, self centered and self serving. But there is far more for us in the Lord than swiftly passing pleasures and shallow carnal indulgences. Yes, many have gotten caught up in the madness of “getting theirs” and have forsaken the path that leads to destiny.
Hold the course with steadfast faithfulness to serve the purpose and call of God and do those things that lead to eternal life. It is a decision that will never be regretted and it is a lifestyle we will never have to justify or make excuses for. Our lives are not our own and it is not about us anyway.
Count everything that was lost as a result of obedience to God as seed sown into your field of overflow harvest of blessings. Believe the Lord. You have not lost a thing. Eyes have not seen and you have no idea the magnitude of all that the Lord has in store for the faithful and persevering.
There is so much more to life and to your life in the perfect will of God than you can ever imagine. Your destiny in the kingdom of God far exceeds that which can accomplished though the flesh. There are more meaningful blessings and lasting treasures in store for you. All that you have given up will never come close in comparison to what the Lord has in mind for you. Never settle! Never compromise! All that is in the world is the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life and all who pursue and live after those things shall perish with them. Amen!

Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, all those who have left houses, brothers, sisters, mother, father, children, or farms for me and for the Good News will get more than they left. Here in this world they will have a hundred times more homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields. And with those things, they will also suffer for their belief. But in the age that is coming they will have life forever. Many who are first now will be last in the future. And many who are last now will be first in the future."
