Matthew 6:31-33 (NIV)

31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Just about every news report is about our high unemployment, the recession, store closings and what can Washington do to help put people back to work. So far the answer is always the same, a stimulus package; yes a stimulus package. This wonderful stimulus package will jump start the economy and all our problems will go away right, wrong. Already this stimulus package is full of non job creating special projects that will do nothing to help the hundreds of thousands out of work. What's not to say that the more people put their trust and faith in a stimulus package, the more God will complicate the issue prolonging the process? These are testing times for every one and these are times that require us to seek God for help. Jesus addresses issues about times like these in Matthew 6:31 (NIV) "So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' ". For those that know him, don't worry you have seen his works.

Our deliverance is not found in a faulty stimulus package designed by faulty men! Matthew 6:33 (NIV) "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. " God has already approved it! Trust and believe in him and he'll deliver the blessing that will sustain us through all seasons and all situations.
