Encouragement

Jesus is the reason for the season, because he came into the world to die for our sins. Therefore we use this small moment of time, to commemorate his coming to die for our sins, however, many will be depress and wish not to live. What do we do, to encourage them? How do we show them love?

Encouragement or to give encouragement is the act of giving courage to another. It is where another person gives hope or confidences to someone who may feel discourage, or depress about a situation or circumstance that they may find themselves facing. To encourage means that I am willing to support you. To be encouraged means to be help, or to be favored. To be encouraged is when someone brings you to a level of self-confidence in your self or gives you confidence in God, which is faith in His divine ability and most of all to give encouragement is to give hope.

The subject concerning encouragement covers a wide range of issues, and behaviors. God encourages us through His Word, and in return, we encourage one another with His Word. The Bible even teaches us that we are to encourage one another. We are to encourage one another in persecutions, fears, and sufferings, during sickness. Anytime God people are going through any type of unpleasant experiences, one of the benefits in belonging to the household of faith knowing within your heart, that there will always be someone, within the Body of Christ, were you fellowship at, who has had a similar experience there, to comfort you.

II Corinthians 1:3-6 King James Version

3. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4. Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
5. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
6. And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

It is the Word of God, we are help and comforted in all of our troubles, so that when we come out of our trouble with success in Jesus, we are able to help others who are having or going through the same type of trouble. Just share in Christ many sufferings; we are also to share in God’s comforting love. If we are comfort then we are to comfort others. This is what encouraging all is about. Christmas is a time when many will feel depression, already I have heard of people trying to take their own lives, please go out and comfort others with the Comforter that lives inside of you!
