Intro
God has not given us the spirit of fear; it is actually a part of the curse. Christians have been delivered from the bondage of fear and have authority over it. Although we are delivered, there are certain practical actions we must take to keep fear out of our lives.
A. God has not given you the spirit of fear, but He has given you power, love, and a calm, well-balanced mind (2 Timothy 1:7, AMP).
1. When you choose to obey the Word of God, you can expect blessings (Deuteronomy 28:1-14).
2. When you choose to disobey, you choose curses instead of blessings (Deuteronomy 28:14-65).
a. Fear is not natural; it is part of the curse (Deuteronomy 28:65-67).
b. Do not tolerate fear or take it lightly.
i. Fear that is not dealt with can turn into paranoia or schizophrenia.
ii. Fear produces bondage in your life and can be passed down from generation to generation.
c. The gift of salvation delivers Believers from curses such as poverty, sickness, and fear.
d. God’s mercy and grace delivers us from our foes so we can serve Him fearlessly (Luke 1:74, AMP).
e. God wants you to live on a higher level; He wants to be involved in securing every area of your life.
B. Christians have been delivered from the bondage of fear (Romans 8:15, AMP).
1. Although we are delivered from the bondage of fear, we must establish boundaries in our lives.
a. Resist the spirit of fear by avoiding certain fear-based movies or other forms of entertainment.
i. God wants you to exercise balance by doing what is best, spiritually and in the natural.
C. Eight steps you can take to become free from fear.
1. Understand that once you are born again, you are delivered from fear.
2. Resist fear and refuse to allow it to dominate your life.
3. Realize fear is based on selfishness.
4. Believe God’s love for you.
a. Meditate on His love.
5. Actively receive God’s love for you.
6. Walk in the love of God daily.
a. Love others unconditionally, even when it is difficult.
7. Continuously confess, “Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world.”
8. Take authority over your mind.

Part 2

Intro
As Christians, we have many benefits because of our personal relationship with God. We do not have to fall prey to the bondage of the world and the traps of Satan. We can refuse fear because God has given us authority over it. We are to live victoriously because we are God’s children.
A. The Lord loads you with benefits every day (Psalm 68:19, Psalm 103:1-3, AMP).
1. God has not given you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and sound thinking (2 Timothy 1:7, AMP).
2. Salvation is more than just the born again experience:
a. Salvation includes health, wholeness, deliverance from bondage, preservation of life, and deliverance from the fear of danger.
3. The fear of the wicked shall come upon them, but God will grant the desires of the righteous (Proverbs 10:24-27).
a. When you honor the Lord by making Him the first priority in life, He will prolong your days.
b. Your time spent with the Lord will equal manifestation in your life.
4. Do not forget God benefits; He will:
a. Forgive your iniquities.
b. Heal your diseases.
c. Redeem your life from destruction.
d. Crown you with loving kindness and tender mercies.
e. Satisfy your mouth with good things.
f. Restore your youth like the eagle.
B. God will deliver you if you do not give in to fear (Daniel 3:19-27, AMP).
1. The enemy will turn up the heat, but refuse to fear.
a. For example, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego faced a dangerous situation when they were thrown into the fiery furnace for their refusal to worship King Nebuchadnezzar.
b. These young men remained steadfast and refused to give in to fear
c. God sent His angel to deliver them from the fire.
d. They emerged from the furnace without even the smell of smoke.
C. God delivers His people from death and keeps them alive even in famine (Psalm 33:19)
1. You will be nourished and your life will be preserved.
2. Those on the Lord’s side will have plenty in the days of famine (Psalm 37:19).
3. When there is talk of recession and lack—laugh at it (Job 5:20-22).
a. Be determined to keep your joy.
D. Paul knew all about danger, but God continually preserved his life (Acts 28:2-6).
1. A poisonous snake bit him, but it had no effect on him.
2. The attacks of the enemy will have no effect on you when you allow God to be your protection.
