From Felana "Milbourne" to Evangelist Felana "X"

MANY GREETINGS to the GMAP family!   There have been some 'eyebrows' raised as to WHY I have changed my name from Evangelist Felana MILBOURNE to Evangelist Felana "X"

NO I AM NOT converting to Islam!  For CHRIST I LIVE......AND FOR CHRIST I SHALL DIE.

I

realize that the "X" behind a person's name is MOSTLY associated with the Islamic Faith.  I am a CHRISTIAN Evangelist.....I have adopted the "X" because I AM in agreement with the Muslims regarding the REASONING BEHIND the name "X".

As an "Afriam"??  I have NO KNOWLEDGE of my African Heritage.   THAT part of my history was STRIPPED FROM ME when my ancestors were brought to America against their will...and we were forced to be slaves.   THIS IS NOT RACIAL...as I LOVE and EMBRACE ALL PEOPLE.   (I am a HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVIST IN ADDITION TO BEING AN EVANGELIST).   ALTHOUGH knowing WHO I AM IN CHRIST  (God's Daughter) is the MOST important thing.....I cannot deny the fact that there is a desire for me to know my AFRICAN HERITAGE as well.

"Milbourne" is the name of a slave owner from way back when.   "Milbourne" was FORCED on me.   My PARENTS named me "Felana" (Fa Lah Na)......I GRACIOUSLY accept the name that my parents gave me.  I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A NAME THAT WAS FORCED UPON ME......THUS I have adopted "X"= Evangelist Felana X

One day soon....I plan to make "Felana X" my LEGAL name.
