Get out of your comfort zone and into your PROMISE ! Genesis 12 :1-3
This id a very key passage of scripture because it tells us that we have to get away from what is comfortable and familiar to us in order to reiceve the things of God . This was the case with Abram. In Genesis 12 :1-3 ,the Lord spoke to Abram and instructed him to leave his family and to go to a land that will make his name great, bless him and to make him a blessing. In addition to that , to curse those who curse him . That's powerful !
Sometimes, we have to leave the familiarity of being with friends and family to recieve our promise from God . Sometimes, we have to force ourselves to get out of the comfortable and launch out to the deep things of God , to recieve the promises that He has made in accordance to His word . You have to be strong enough and secure in your gifts in order for God to pour out His favor on you . Your faithfulness will stand the test of time . We need to get away from negative people and get with God to seek out the things He has for us.
Let your haters be your motivators, Haters don't have any desire to see you grow , or move forth in the things of God and to help others. People will tell you that you are not ready or you are not capable . But the word of God lets us know that "I can do all things through Christ which strengthenth me " (Phillipians 4:13 KJV) When I first started out in ministry, a "seasoned " Man of God , told me that in order to get engagements , that I would have to "market " myself . But looking back on this , I truly thank God for the gift of wisdom and I did remembered this Word . I politely told the brother that "God will make my name great ". I was not willing to "sell" myself , but allow God to pave the way for my gifts to be used for His glory !I was holding on to the promises that He has made to me and the great things He has in store for me .
During prayer and mediation ,God came to me and spelled out the word PROMISE.. and told me to spell it out . And this is what He had told me ....
P - Provision (He will provide the way )
R- Restoration (If you have lost anything during the wait , He will restore it )
O- Overflow (Because of your faithfulness, He will give you overflow in ALL things )
M-Movement(When you make a move , God will make His )
I- In season (When your "season " is about to arrive , He will let you know )
S-Sealed (It's a done deal ! He will back it up with His word )
E -Eternal (If you remain faithful, His promises are for life )
So whatever is making you comfortable , get out of it and go for the PROMISE ! You won't regret it . Whatever it is that is holding you back , be confident and go forth !
