GOD'S LAW THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER

I tried to share with a Bishop about the consequences of not keeping the Lord's Day holy, one of the few issues some members of the Body of Christ over-look, he asked me to return to the word of God and study on the grace of God. I began to study the difference between the old testament law and our justification by faith, I began to understand that the requirement of God through the law did not change...not even one of them. The difference is,when He gave that law, his people were in the flesh, so the Lord made a provision for them through the sacrifices of the Blood of blameless animals as a foreshadow of the Blood of Jesus that would take away the sin of man.

The blood of those animals that were being shed on the day of atonement was being taken into the Holy of Holies by the Chief Priest (representing the Lord Jesus Christ) and make atonement for the people.

Through the death of the Lord Jesus however, the punishment and the requirement of the law was accomplished. He fulfilled the requirement of the law through His righteousness and His sacrifice fulfilled all the penalty of the law before God. God accepted His sacrifice, and His Blood remits our sins. Therefore by accepting Him into our lives, our sins are no longer covered but remitted (taken away) so that there is no remembrance of them. The difference with that of the old testament covenant is that we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to live out, by faith the standard of the Holiness required by the law. The death of Jesus granted us the promise of the Spirit, and also abolished all the curses for breaking God's law. We are no longer struggling on the flesh to keep the laws of God, but empowered by the Spirit of God to live holy lives in Christ Jesus Christ.

This does not in any means render the law ineffective. If God calls non-tithe payers robbers according to law, they are still the same when we refuse pay our tithes in the new testament. If God asks us to keep His Day Holy, it means just that. We are to live the requirements of the law by faith, obeying and walking by the Spirit of God. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to live holy lives as we listen to, and obey the Voice of the Holy Spirit who lives inside us as our helper and counselor. He will put us to remembrance the word of God, which the Lord writes inside us when we study His word, and help us walk Holy unto the Lord.

I have read and compared testimonies of so many people that have had near death experiences and visited Heaven and Hell, many people including men of God are in Hell for not paying tithes and also for refusing to teach about tithing thinking it is old testament requirement. Also, to my amazement, so many people of God: Pastors, deacons, elders, etc are in Hell for not keeping the day of the Lord holy. Read Jeremiah 17: 19-27; Isaiah 56:4-7;58: 13-14

What the Lord calls sin in old testament is still sin in new testament. If He rebukes His people for desecrating His Sabbath Day in old testament and merchandising in His House, He means the same thing in the new Testament. Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law and with Him, we can live out the Lord's standard by faith, by obeying His instructions and His leading in our lives through the Holy Spirit. It's better to be right at last than to be wrong at last.

Remain blessed and rapturable in Him!
