God said "Wait!" - (A poem promoting sexual chastity)
God said "Wait!"
The word of God tell us that God said "Wait!"
In lusts and premarital sex to not participate?
With illicit sex one does one's own self harm.
By falling into Satan's grip and out of God loving arms.
Why do carnal things that only make God sad?
When waiting gives you peace most folks have never had.
Why clutter your mind and heart with those illicit connections?
Once made, you never can erase from your mind, their sordid
recollections.
Why interfere with God's plan to live a holy life?
Why not save yourself exclusively for your husband or your wife?
Why worry "each time" about whether or not you've been infected?
You won't have this worry, if you do just as your Father has
directed.
I know that reading this note, out there will be a cynic.
But by keeping this command, there would be no need for HIV clinics.
Or testing for father's DNA, and STD's which number more than a score
So much would change if just the women would stop being whores.
If you've erred, stop sinning, and take the Word of God heed.
'Cause your life may be the only Bible that a lost soul reads.....
Guys just because your date said "Yes," you don't have to "hit it."
Your sexual energy you must to God submit it.
Women you must be like the pure and lovely bride of Christ
With holiness, and without spot or blemish walking all your life.
Is illicit sex that gives you a few moments pleasure
Worth trading in your salvation and time with God, beyond
all measure?
Why slap God in His face, saying, "Your command I will not do"
And without repenting of your sin expect God to continually bless you?
Don't you know that whatever that you may say or do,
In heaven there's a HUGE celestial TV screen 24/7 monitoring you?
Displaying day and night, in living color, whether good or bad
On Judgment Day, an instant replay can be had.
Unrepentant Christian if sins in your life are replete.
There is a remedy, all of your sin, God will delete.
Even if they amount to more than 10,000 score.
Do as Jesus told the adulteress,
"Go and sin no more...."
God is not blind, He is not mocked, He is omnipresent you see.
Why sin in bed all night, then get up go to church with impunity?
To cleanse you from all sins, He paid a terribly great price.
To give you hope, salvation and eternal life.
The "Passion" movie shows how horrible was his death.
He loved you so, he gave up for you His very last breath.
So how do you now show Him your sincere appreciation?
You can with His help conquer over all temptation.
Treat all your dates, with love and with them do not sin.
Treat them as though they were (and actually are) one of
Jesus's own kin.
