"And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." Ephesains 4:30

How could we grieve (make sad, notice not mad, but sad) the Holy Spirit of God? I believe there are many ways. Since I was filled with the Holy Spirit, it is like there is a check in my soul when I start to say or do things that are grieving the Holy Spirit. That does not mean that I always listen to Him, but He is speaking to me, and sometimes I do grieve Him. I am sorry for these times, I repent, and go on with my life, but I try to listen and obey His voice. Often it is a still quiet voice. I think us men have trouble listening to a soft voice, we want the Lord to use a loud voice, or better yet hit us over the head and then we will listen. Wouldn't it be a lot better for us to listen and obey the soft voice, rather than to grieve the Holy Spirit?! Love and Peace.
