He That Dwelleth In The Secret Place of the Most High Shall Abide

Under the Shadow of the Almighty -Psalm 91 -1

What great wisdom we are taught for living a Christ Centered Life through this Scriptural Verse. The Secret Place of the Most High is that place of peace, love and harmony within ourselves that we find through prayer, meditation and following Jesus. It is the Kingdom of Righteousness that we are commanded to seek.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are pure,

whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report;

if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. -Philippians 4:8

Only as we discard the worldly ways that have kept us from seeking the Kingdom within, can we learn to "dwell" in the Secret Place. Our Beloved Master Jesus commands us to "come ye apart into a desert place and rest a while." In this age of technology, it is so easy to get caught up into what's happening in the world instead of "dwelling" in the Secret Place.

We turn on our radios and televisions as soon as we get up in the morning to hear about violence all around us. We take this into our hearts! We watch movies or listen to music that is filled with death or immoral sexual innuendo. Again, we take this within! We read the newspapers, turn on the computer or enter into daily gossip about things that are ungodly. We fill ourselves with condemnation, criticism and judgment. Once more, our hearts are touched by the darkness. We reap what we sow and wonder why we have no peace? To believe that we are not affected is to deny the word of God, for as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he...

Fear and anger in many different forms control the thoughts and feelings of a great many of us. We are double minded. We want to serve the Lord but we, also, want to take part in the world! We cannot enter into the Secret Place because our souls are "straddling the fence." The constant, consistent and continuous peace of God eludes us.

We have not guarded our hearts as we should! We say we are believers but our actions belie our words. We have not dwelled in the Secret Place of the Most High in our consciousness. Instead, we allow lower thoughts to dominate. Where our consciousness is, there we are also. We may know the word verbatim, have all kinds of titles, and "talk the talk;" however, all too often, we don't "walk the walk." What we have been doing in the dark shines in the light. God is not mocked! A tree is known by the fruit that it bears...

Strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it -Math. 7:14

We cannot dwell in the Secret Place if we are of the world most of the time. We cannot be "in" one day and "out" the next. We must choose this day whom we shall serve and come out from among them! Let us turn away from that which seeks to destroy us and seek God's face instead. Let us dwell in his Secret Place.

Stop reading the bad news in the paper, turn off the television, don't listen to the radio unless it's something good. Get away from toxic people in your life whether it is a family member or so-called friend and remember that one with God is a majority. Seriously make a commitment to put God first in your life regardless of what others may say!

Find the Kingdom within yourself and realize that your greatest friend is Jesus. He is the one who can show you the way. Learn how to walk with him... Learn how to follow him. Make your home a Santuary for his peace and go into the silence often and pray. Train you mind to stay on good things and seek the kingdom of righteousness within yourself. Right thoughts, right words, right actions and right reactions and you will find a peace that passeth all understanding. The greatest of all love will abound in your life and you will rest secure knowing full well the meaning of this Scripture...
