As a child, I was blessed. I was raise by two very loving, caring, understanding and most of all wise parents. They did everything in their power to make sure that my brothers, sisters and I were fed, educated and cared for. They were not only our parents, but also our mentors. They did a great job preparing us for the outside world. As my father would say," Son your mother and I, did everything a parent is obligated to do." We raised you into a healthy and educated young man." "But there is one thing we could never give you and that's wisdom. For that my son, you will have to get that on your own." Now its time you learn what grown ups do and that's survive. When my parents decided that I was old enough, they allowed me to leave the nest. Although they were worried they then put their faith and trust in God, then prayed that I would be okay. They counted on their many years of rearing me and preparing me for the outside world. I will always remember the words my father said to me when I left the house on that day. He would say, Charles remember everything I taught you, but also remember all your failures. Because there will be times in your life where everything seems perfect and then you fail. That's when you draw from your past experiences and do what it takes to succeed. That my son is how the wise become wise. They learn from their trials and their tribulations. They weather the storms and survive to live another day. He would also say the wise never give up and when in doubt they always put their trust in the one that has created us all," our Father in Heaven". To those who are blessed to read this take some sound and free advice. Learn something new everyday. Never take anything for granted. Always keep an open mind. Walk in to every door that God has prepared you for. Also you can learn something new, from just about anyone. Be very careful when you are talking to people, because they just may be Gods, Angels in disguised, trying to help you. Become wise so that you can help or to prepare your children or others for the outside world. The wise become wise by spreading wisdom and also by trusting God.
May God bless you all,
Charles
