How to Fight with the Enemy
Have you ever just took the time to think of why you were so frustrated, disgusted, disapointed, angry, sick of being sick and frustrated.
Well I have often times felt all of these things at one time or another in my life. And if you were honest with yourself, you have too. First of all we must admit that we are trying to fight a battle that is not ours' to fight in the first place, and that we should have given all these battles to the Lord when we first accepted Him as Savior and Lord of our lives. Or did we truly give these things to him,did we take them back when we finished praying, Did we really allow the Lord to reign in our lives as lord? Did we truly give Him the freedom to live within this temple that belongs to Him? You know to live in the temple means to have access to every part of the temple. Are we still treating Him as a guest in our house? And are we doing what is our reasonable service to Him?
Romans 12: 1-2 says: "I beseach you therefore, brethern, by the mercies of god, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonalbl service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God."
Many times we can't fight because we may be sleeping with the enemy, or hanging out with the enemy, making friends with the enemy, working with the enemy, or accepting the enemies offers without checking them out first.
One of the best ways to fight the enemy is doing just what Pastor T.D.Jakes stated in his sermon, Don't get Into the ring, if you want to win each battle, and have victory each time. We must fight the enemy just as Jesus did,,with Gods' Word. and to do this we must know His word. By renewing our minds daily withthe word of God, and having dialog with him in prayer we can avoid some of the enemies tactics. because they don't change, and we should at some instance recognize them. The battle goes on in our mind with the enemy and that is why we make bad choices at times. We oftem forget the he said that the just shall live by his faith. Faith is taking God at His word without proof, and believing what he has said to be true, regardless of how things may appear. We must tell the enemy that this and all of these battles belong to the Lord. His word tells ud in Ephesians 6: 10-18 to be strong in the Lord, and i the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whold armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand therefore, haveing your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breast plate of righteousness; and having your feet shod with the preparatio of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the hellmet of salvation,( He gives us this first when we accept him as our saviou) and th sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. Praying (our offensive weapon) always with all prayer and supplication inthe Spirit, and watchaing thereunto with all perserverance (this means that we must not stop) and supplications for all saints. When we have our armour and we are prepared for the fight, when we are weak God is strong and will fight the battles, let Him get in the ring with the enemy, fight him with Gods' word. Let him know that the Lord shall supply all of our needs according to His riches in Glory by christ Jesus. when we have lack and feel that our needs are not being met. God will supply all that we need. Some times we must get up off our blank, blank, and seek for what he has already supplied, When the enemy says we can't, we must let him know that we can through Christ who strengthens us. He gives us the strenght to endure those things we must go through. Let the enemy know that our steps have been ordered by the Lord, and I have submitted my will to Hi. And we must also realize that there are soime ties that we must cut, allow the Lord to show you which ones to keep and allow Him to move the ones that we must let go of. We must not allow the enemy to keep our mind in bondage, for we have been released from that bondage by the Lord our Savior. He said take on His yoke and learn of Him, for his yoke is easy and his burdens are light., Aren't you glad that He is able to do abundantly more than we can even ask or our finite minds can ponder to ask for, and that He already knows what we need, for this journey. Leave the fighting of the enemy to the Lord, remember He said that vengence is His and He will repay. Rejoice regardless of the circumstance and choose to be happy.
