Just A Closer Walk With Thee

Just thinking of His Goodness...

Isn't it funny how something we have come so familiar with or some phrases we have heard time and time again ...we tend to take lightly. We tend to think that they're only cliches or only some person's empty opinions. Like the words of a poem or the lyrics to a hymn or the words of Solomon or David the Psalmist.

What is so great to know is that God's word is true and it is life. His word will never pass away and it will never fail.I have found these and other saying to be true indeed also. As I experience life and walk this faith journey in Christ, I'm so glad I know these and certain other things for myself. "If I never had a test I would not have such a testimony." "If I never had obstacles in my way, I wouldn't know how much I could overcome by the word of my testimony and by the blood of the Lamb!" If I never had any trouble I wouldn't know how much God is a very present help in the time of trouble. Without such great storms I've had to weather, I would not know the Perfect Peace God keeps me in the very midst of the storm. In Everything I give thanks to God for this is the will of God for my life. For if I never had a problem, I wouldn't know that He could solve them ...I wouldn't know that my trials come only to make me strong...I wouldn't know what having faith in God could do. Through it all ...Oh, yes I love that hymn , Through it All. I've learned to trust in Jesus, I've learned to truly trust in God. Through it All...I've learned to depend upon His Word.

Just like knowing Jesus and having a personal relationship with Him for myself.

Not what others have said, or what I have heard. But what I know personally and have witnessed myself.

I asked Him to reveal Himself to me and He did just that! I begin to read His word, the Bible and I would ask Him to make known to me the mysteries of His word. He is such a Faithful and Awesome God. I'm glad I have learned and I'm still learning how to trust Him More and more each day..Nothing can be sweeter!

And even as close as I am to Him today...yet there is still room for more. Everyday the Father calls His children closer to Himself so that we may hear what He is saying everso clearly. So that we may obey His Voice and His instructions. So that we may worship Him for who He is and not just for what He has done or is capable of doing. So close to Him that when He whispers we hear Him and we are ready and willing to obey His every command. "Just a closer walk with Thee..Grant it Jesus if you please. Daily walking close to Thee, Let it be, dear Lord, Let it be." O For grace to trust Him More....

Aren't you glad you know Him for yourself? Don't you long to be even closer to God each day?

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." Psalms 91:1
