LIES WE TELL ON GOD!
It has always been the nature of man to spiritualize, or theologically justify decisions, and choices, to make them acceptable to us, and to whomever we feel threatened by, or, perhaps, want to "impress". It began back when man was blessed to be in a perpetual state of uninterrupted fellowship, and Holy communion with God, when even satan, played the "Didn't God say?" card. From that time until this present moment, men have falsely credited God with demonic untruths, and lied on Him with such lack of reverence, fear, and conviction, until we live in a state of consistent blasphemy with no fear of reprisal or judgement from God. With the abundance of prophetic "rivers", and oracles flowing, in every form of media, and all manner of venues, the "lies" are flowing just as freely. There was a time, when even the tried, proven, seasoned "God-fearing, and established Prophets, were very cautious and careful to declare that "GOD" said something, sometimes opting to say "I perceive", or "I sense" rather than foolishly, arrogantly, and presumptuously charge a saying to the mouth of God! A safeguard to keep the divine utterance of the Lord, sure, pure, and undiluted or flavored by the opinions and predispositions of "man," was to allow them to speak by twos or threes, and to have someone seasoned available to "judge" the "alleged" oracle from God. Now, with the proliferation of "overnight prophetic "wonders", and sensations, unschooled, unproven, untrained, undisciplined, unmade, unsifted, unprocessed, and untaught bands and renegade "companies" of "Prophets' who seem to be more driven to carry out a "per capita" money line, in a meeting or revival than to call men, through the convicting Truth of God's Logos, back unto obedience and pure service to ,and fellowship with God, all sorts of "God said" lies, and lying wonders are abounding! Bibically, and historically, the Prophets of God had a far more relevant and urgent assignment and message from God, than that of promising new Easter frocks with matching bonnets", washing machines, and the latest "Caddie" or "Lexus", because God's desire has always been to see His people's hearts and devotion turned back to Him, that none should perish, and that we live the abundance of life, secondarily, because He said that "If we seek first His kingdom, and His righteousness, He will add all else unto us"! A true Prophet can't get a "lie" out of his mouth good, without choking on it, and the devil himself, will call him out on it,even as King Jehoshaphat did to the Prophet Michaiah, when he decided that it would be healthier and more profitable for him to just not "rock the boat" and prophesy the same lies the previous "50" lying prophets had spoken to the king, concerning his coming confrontation on the battlefield with his enemies. If you believe the devil doesn't know the truth, you are foolish in your heart, because it's not that he doesn't "know or recognize" the truth, but rather that he is the "father of lies" and does not reverence, honor, respect, or tell the truth! He has always hated Christ and those who're His disciples, because he knows that Jesus is "THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH"!
The Bible says that Michaiah and every real prophet who was bound, even unto his own precarious and "untimely death, if need be, were hated, especially by those 'in authority", because the "truth" knows and honors no boundaries of prestige, position, and authority, because it simply, "is what it is",if the mouth of God,has indeed, uttered it! "Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorceres, which speak unto you saying, "Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they PROHESY A LIE UNTO YOU TO REMOVE YOU FAR FROM YOUR LAND ;AND THAT I SHOULD DRIVE YOU OUT, AND YE SHOULD PERISH." JER. 27:9-10. VERSE 15 "FOR I HAVE NOT SENT THEM, SAITHBTHE LORD, YET THEY PROPHESY A LIE IN MY NAME; THAT I MIGHT DRIVE YOU OUT, AND THAT YE MIGHT PERISH, YE AND THE PROPHETS THAT PROPHESY UNTO YOU.' This is much like the familiar "Words" we hear released to many Pastors or leaders regarding how "God said" that they will "take the city", which is often an untruth because God is rational and practical, and He will not likely, charge a man with "unclean hands,man adulterer, extortioner, and a tyrant who hasn't "taken his HOME, or HIS CHURCH" yet the arduous task of "taking any city! I heard a "man of God" "prophesy" and say "GOD TOLD ME TO TELL YOU, THAT YOU'RE GETTING READY TO GET ANOTHER WIFE", even though He already had one! I've never seen "GOD" send so any people to their "banks" for special "offerings", to recieve "special blessings",and cost-effective "miracles! Then, there are those who claim "GOD SAID" that if the did a certain thing, or didn't do another in a specified number of days, that "death" would be the result, and the offenses really had nothing to do with the Lord, Himself, but rather,they dealt with the person who issued this "word" that "GOD SAID"! "The Prophet that prophesieth of peace, when the word of that prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the Lord hath truly sent him!
"Prophets" are not the only ones who falsely charge God's Words, but it is the habit of God's flock, to conveniently get spiritually "deep" when they,too, want to justify certain behaviour or "moves" that they make, especially when it comes to marrying, or getting involved in "relationships', and if you really want to "test their gangster," challenge them, when you know and they know,that the God of Israel did NOT hardly, counsel, consent to , or sanction their being with that "knucklehead" who prefers to "beat 'em" rather than "join 'em", or that "sister" who everybody knows,kept her legs wrapped around a bar stool, or who was forever having"church" in the V.I.P. room of the local stripper's club. Yes, we are familiar with the sovereign move of God, as He dealt with Hosea, to make a statement to Israel regarding His relationship with them, but He most assuredly, didn't make a habit of endorsing such unorthodox marriages, when He said, "As much as is possible, follow "peace" with all men, and for a woman's husband to "love her like Christ loved the church, and not "beat her", like the Jews beat Christ", and admonished the brethren to seek out a "virtuous" woman, to marry, and become one with! It is the most profound thing, that the more ridiculous the decisions and choices people of God make,the more they claim "Well, I don't care what anybody says, I know what I heard the Lord say!" Well, the only rational question to be asked, when you've cleaned out your bank account and cashed in the kid's college fund, to finance the questionable life of some itinerant "evangelist" who is as shady as the day is long, and is out on "parole" now, for scamming folk,is "Which "Lord" was that, the "Lord of the flies?" We lie on God about some of the most simple things, because to us it's harmless, but to do so, is to take His Name in vain, amongst other things. We will get up and testify that "GOD told me not to buy those hot "food stamps" when I was in the grocery store", when it was your "common sense", and knowledge of the law and right from wrong" that counselled you! Every "voice" we hear is not the voice of the Lord! We have a human conscience, the Holy Spirit, and the devil, and some of us, in these latter days, are so bi-polar, or schizophrenic, we have a whole "community" of "other 'voices' living in our heads! Some have lied and said "God" told them to play this "number", or go to a particular "Bingo Hall", and look for certain cards, to match up on a particular night! Liars! Those are familiar spirits, and spirits of divination, leading you INTO temptation,when the voice of God leads you NOT into temptation! We lie on God and say He told us to marry some brother, and then we lie on God again, and say God said to "leave" him ,because "he wasn't the one"! This is highly offensive, because it makes God look double-minded, uncertain, and schizophrenic, when He's not the One in need of therapy, deliverance, and some on-going counselling! We buy things, even church buildings, and property, we can not afford, and burden the people of God with the debt, because we tell them that "God said" it! Whatever debt God "speaks" and endorses, God will pay, and add no sorrow with it! The Bible counsels us, whether we be "prophets" or not, to not be quick or hasty to utter anything before God, or to attribute it "to God", and when we can, again grasp, the seriousness of "lying lips", and the final disposition of "ordinary liars", we will be very careful to avoid that charge, and rather "die" telling the "truth", than "lie on God"!
