“Listen to the Wind”… explored :ANALOGIES OF The Holy Spirit to the Wind

ANALOGIES OF

THE HOLY SPIRIT
TO THE WIND

Like the wind, the Spirit is sovereign.

John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

1 Corinthians 12:11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

Like the wind, the Spirit is invisible.

John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

Like the wind, the Spirit is inscrutable, incomprehensible.

John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

Like the wind, the Spirit is indispensable.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit."

Like the wind, the Spirit is lifegiving.

Ezekiel 37:8-10 [8] I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. [9] Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, `This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.' " [10] So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet -- a vast army.

Compare John 3:5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit."

Note: Much at least of the difficulty in John 3:5 would disappear if we would remember that "spirit" means "wind" and translate literally: "no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the wind."

In other words, unless a man is born of the cleansing and life- iving power of the Spirit, or of the cleansing word:

John 15:3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

Ephesians 5:25-27 [25] Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her [26] to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, [27] and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

James 1:18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

1 Peter 1:23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Like the wind, the Spirit is irresistible.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Compare Acts 6:10 but they could not stand up against his wisdom or the Spirit by whom he spoke.

A man filled with the Holy Spirit is transformed into a cyclone.

My Dear Sister Gerri,
God bless you and thank you so much for those encouraging, thoughtful and prophetic and scriptural words. I consider them as guarded wisdom, not to be taken lightly for the Holy Spirit has shown me your heart and your anointing.
May the Lord bless and preserve you godly daughter of Zion
As always To God be the Glory.

Genesis 1:1, 2
This one volume commentary was prepared by Robert Jamieson, A. R. Fausset and David Brown
and published in 1871.
Genesis 1:1, 2 . THE CREATION OF HEAVEN AND EARTH.
1. In the beginning--a period of remote and unknown antiquity, hid in the depths of eternal ages; and so the phrase is used in Proverbs 8:22 Proverbs 8:23 .
God--the name of the Supreme Being, signifying in Hebrew, "Strong," "Mighty." It is expressive of omnipotent power; and by its use here in the plural form, is obscurely taught at the opening of the Bible, a doctrine clearly revealed in other parts of it, namely, that though God is one, there is a plurality of persons in the Godhead--Father, Son, and Spirit, who were engaged in the creative work ( Proverbs 8:27 , John 1:3 John 1:10 , Ephesians 3:9 , Hebrews 1:2 , Job 26:13 ).
created--not formed from any pre-existing materials, but made out of nothing.
the heaven and the earth--the universe. This first verse is a general introduction to the inspired volume, declaring the great and important truth that all things had a beginning; that nothing throughout the wide extent of nature existed from eternity, originated by chance, or from the skill of any inferior agent; but that the whole universe was produced by the creative power of God ( Acts 17:24 , Romans 11:36 ). After this preface, the narrative is confined to the earth.
2. the earth was without form and void--or in "confusion and emptiness," as the words are rendered in Isaiah 34:11 . This globe, at some undescribed period, having been convulsed and broken up, was a dark and watery waste for ages perhaps, till out of this chaotic state, the present fabric of the world was made to arise.
the Spirit of God moved--literally, continued brooding over it, as a fowl does, when hatching eggs. The immediate agency of the Spirit, by working on the dead and discordant elements, combined, arranged, and ripened them into a state adapted for being the scene of a new creation. The account of this new creation properly begins at the end of this second verse; and the details of the process are described in the natural way an onlooker would have done, who beheld the changes that successively took place.

My Sister Sandra, God Almighty knew you even before you were place in your mother’s womb. God Almighty Mantled you even before you were created. Always remember your beginning with the fondness of a fawn. Your future is your tomorrows, so take your proper assignment and walk in the Authority that our Holy Master has mantled you with.
