Men and The Bible. pt.1.
Their Responsibility to Children.

"Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God."

Ordinances;
A rule established by authority(God.); a permanent rule of action.(Commandment.)

The rules concerning man are clearly stated in Scripture. Man has a responsibility to God, Christ, and Family, in that order. We see today that the regulations concerning a mans responsibility to each, falling short of the statutes and ordnances of God.

Here are three main causes of discord in a mans life.
1.Homosexuality is the most prevalent.
2.Spousal abuse is the next.
3.Child rearing incorrectly.

Number 1 and 3 are interconnected.
A mans responsibility to his family ranges from support, to the teaching of Godly lifestyles, for if a man doesn't raise his children well, they will enter into life with no knowledge of right and wrong, righteousness nor unrighteousness.

Lets take a look at this subject from the word of God.
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
Many men today believe that it is the soul responsibility of his wife to raise the children. This is not the commandment of God.
A man has many responsibilities to the rearing of his children.
When a man follows the dictates of the Father, he teaches his children the ways of the Lord. Many today have neglected this responsibility, and their children have become involved in street gangs, drug use, and homosexuality. If a man loves his children, he will start teaching them the ways of righteousness at the time of birth until the time they leave his house.

We can not just look at the short time that a child is with us, but rather at the long term effects of our teachings.
If a child is told that he is ugly or useless, from the time he is born until the time he leaves, he will start believing this and not try to find his own place in society. But if a child is encouraged by the father, taught the ways of the Lord, and given a chance at life, he will remain in the sight of God and His promises. Without hope there is no future, but with hope in Christ all things are possible, and open to the child many possibilities.

"Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."

"Provoke not your children to wrath."
Provoke; To make angry; to offend; to incense; to enrage.
Stated here, we see that many at the time of this commandment, and continuing today, were having their children being angry at the fathers because of contrary teachings, and possibly abuse.
A child is not a mule, nor slave, that we can just order around at every whim we may have. But a child is a blessing from the Lord.
We cannot just work a child, but we must work, with a child.

The reason that many children today are rebellious and even killing their fathers and mothers, is because of their teachings.
This is stated in Biblical prophecies of the end days.
"And a man's foes shall be they of his own household."

"For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house."
For a man to be included in this prophecy, is for that man to ignore the rearing of his children. Not teaching them the ways of God, and for the absence of correction. A woman(wife.) can correct her children, but the fear of her is absent from them, but when a man corrects his children they take a second look at what they have done and abstain from it. For as it is written; "Spare the rod and spoil the child."

A man should not install fear into his children, but rather install a level of respect. The Bible states;""Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)"
If a man obeys this commandment to his own parents, and teaches it to his children, all will go well for that man and his children's children.
What does the word honour mean?(Speaking of this Commandment.)
Do not do anything that would bring shame upon the parents. This commandment is being broken each and every day, but those of the house of the Lord, keep this commandment, and not only honour their father and mother, but they honour the Lord.

Read and understand;
"That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:
That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:."

"And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."
