No Surrender, No Retreat! Pressing Forward Through the Pain

Good Morning World! Sometimes there's nowhere to go but forward. The person is gone, the job is gone the season has changed and there's no going back. The road ahead looks hard, promising pain, tears and hurt. Yet, it's in those times that we must realize that we must GO THROUGH those seasons. The Word of God often spoke of people girding up their loins and going forth. That means that they mustered up whatever strength they had, faced the certainty of the uncertainty that lie ahead went through the difficult time. We don't have to do it alone, there is a God who says that "He is a present help in the time of trouble". Are you facing a difficult road? Jesus, don't leave home with him. Have a great day!

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 1 Peter 1:13

Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; Luke 12:35

She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. Proverbs 31:17

Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. Job 40:7

Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me Job 38:3

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 1 Peter 5:10

People don't like the "suffered a while" part. The being made perfect is a process. Jesus said, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33 Later the Word says that those who believe in Him overcome the world. Yet, we must grow in the fruit of the Spirit of longsuffering. We must be willing to go THROUGH tribulation.

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. John 6:68-69
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. Mark 5:27-29

I love this passage of scripture because it says, "she came in the press behind". This woman had already fought twelve years of sickness, lack, sorrow and now no doubt physical weakness but she pressed her way through the crowd to get to her last hope. The Hope of Glory! Praise Him Today!

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. Luke 42:22

Quote of the Day: If you are going through hell, keep going. Winston Churchill

I'm just going through a phase right now. Everybody goes through phases and all, don't they? J. D. Salinger
