Black churches are underdeveloped, overpopulated, and oppressed.  Church people are sometimes portrayed as uneducated, helpless, or backwards.

 

Does your church community consist of just low/moderate income earners?

 

How many of your members leave within the first 5 years?

 

What percentage of your membership would be considered wealthily, impoverished or, middle class?

 

Has your capacity to utilize your resources increased over the life of the church?

 

Were you in building up the numbers in the body of Christ?

 

Have you encouraged solidarity?

 

Are you actively working to develop a strong sense of community?

 

 

 

These questions will help you track your progress and bench mark areas that you need to revamp or set realistic goals.
